New "Hello" screensaver in Big Sur 11.3

    macOS Big Sur 11.3 includes a hidden screensaver called "Hello" which appears to have been designed for the latest iMac models, but can also be installed on any Mac that has the 11.3 update installed.

    The new screensaver is not installed by default, but with a few steps you can have it available on any updated Mac.

    On a Mac running macOS Big Sur‌ 11.3, follow these steps:

    New
    1. Open the system folder.
    2. Click Library.
    3. Click Screen Saver.
    4. Drag the "Hello.saver" file to your desktop.

    1. Change the name "Hello" to something else (we called it Hello).

    1. Double click on the file.
    2. Follow the instructions to install it.

    When finished, you will see the "Hello" screensaver added to the Mac screensaver list, which you can see in System Preferences> Desktop & Screensavers> Screensaver (it will be last in the list).
