Opera offers work as an «Internet browser»: € 8.000 for live browsing for two weeks

"I'd like to spend all day looking at things on the Internet and get paid for it." Who hasn't dreamed of this at some point? Well, the Norwegian company Opera, responsible for browsers and other products used by more than 380 million people around the world, has decided to create just that position.

“We tend to focus on numbers and graphs. Our users are anonymous, but we want them to talk, to tell us who they really are. We want to hear its truth, as it is, unfiltered, ”he explains Maciej  Kocemba, Opera product manager. It is about learning more about how people browse the Internet, regardless of whether what you do is surprising, boring or surreal; in short, to discover the authentic.

" After all, a browser is where you spend most of your online life. We are very curious to see the faces behind every click: whether you are a nun who likes to watch live heavy metal shows at night, a fitness guru who spends the day downloading high calorie cake recipes, or a cyclist looking for tutorials on socks… we don't judge anyone, ”adds Kocemba.

The selection process is open to all users worldwide, with the only requirement that the application be authentic. Instead of a traditional-format resume, interested parties should submit a 15-second video explaining the most relevant browsing moment of their life. It can be anything from a funny incident to a serious revelation.

The winning nominee will browse the farthest corners of the web for two weeks with occasional challenges from the social media team and Opera users. In return, you will receive $ 9.000 (approximately € 8.000) and the company's first "personal browser" title.
