10 weirdest secret enemies we just had to find (and defeat)

It's the weird Easter Egg monsters and the inexplicable enemies we just had to hunt down. Sometimes defeating these super secret villains gives us a nice reward. And sometimes we just have to do it because that's the way the video game world works.

The secret enemies on this list come from a fairly wide variety of games, but you will find these types most often in games with hidden areas. The Metroidvanias, Rogue-likes, and Soulsborne games have the most examples of completely obscure things - we also have RPGs, FPSs, and action games thrown into the odd mix of enemies. Some of these enemies are creepy, some are hilarious, but they're all incredibly weird.

Snap your fingers and get ready to beat these weird enemies. And while we're on the subject of enemies, why not check out our list of the 10 Most Annoying Enemies We Just Wanted To Avoid.

    Modified vending machine [[]

The modified vending machine is the monster that inspired this niche list. Found in the new AWE DLC For, there is a top secret monster lurking in plain sight. All vending machines have a chance of being a weird vending machine monster - if you shoot the right one, it comes to life and flees the scene. Shooting it spawns a lot of useful loot. Blowing it up gives you even more awesome rewards.

It's one of those enemies that obviously comes in handy at a glance. They drop tons of currency, weapon mods, and materials - and you can find multiple! But there is also no indication that they exist in the game. The only clue comes from a note that details a modified vending machine that is essentially wish-granting. It might be great, but that doesn't tell you to photograph every rectangle-shaped automotive device in the hope of finding a bright red vending machine full of prizes.

Nothing else like this exists in the game, and you can easily complete the DLC without encountering them. This makes him one of the rarest and weirdest enemies in all video games.

    Demon # 044 [[]

After playing all of them, I noticed that one of the entries in the game's demon collection was still empty. Where was this final demon? That's a question many of us have asked, and those who are willing to explore the game a little deeper will find an extremely strange monster that we just defeated - that's the premise of it!

Located in the train area, there is a single window that you can interact with. Looking out the window doesn't seem to be helpful at all. I know I found this window, but I didn't know there was more than just a sight waiting for me. If you stand and wait several minutes, a monster will scare you and appear. He instantly casts a curse on you if you're in his line of sight or just nearby. The curse is like an extremely powerful status effect that kills you very quickly.

To summon this thing is pain, and to kill it is even greater pain. These are the lengths we take for 100% completion.
