Character unlock guide
The characters get very intertwined in 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, which means you'll find a lot of them in some of the character stories. As you continue to play with others, you will also learn more about these other characters. It also means that there are plenty of ways to unlock characters depending on the order you play them. For the purposes of this guide, we'll give you an overview of how we unlocked the additional characters and maybe some tips on some pretty quick ways to do it.
One thing you will notice in particular is that we have focused here on Iori Fuyusaka's story because it is very interesting and allows you to play a lot of it without moving ahead too early. This specifically unlocked two characters, which is very useful in the game.
Renya Goto: Read the story of Iori Fuyusaka from 42% until you complete "Iori Who Leapt Through Time" starting with "Shopping District, After School 2."
Ryoko Shinonome: Play through the story of Iori Fuyusaka from 57% until you have completed “Opening a Door to the Dream” starting with “Sumire Bridge, Dream of Shooting Juro”.
Yuki Takamiya: Play Through the Story of Iori Fuyusaka from 71% until you complete “Love Begins” by starting the path with “Meet at the Front Gate”.
Keitaro Miura: Play through the story of Natsuno Minami from 25% until you have completed "Transcending Space and Time" starting with "Interviews at Sakura High School", then "Shift from Tokisaka Shrine".
Tomi Kisaragi: Play Through Yuki Takamiya's Story from 28% until you complete “Girl With Red Glasses” starting with “Interviews at Sakura High School”, then “Girls' Bathroom Investigation”.
Nenji Ogata: Read Megumi Yakushiji's Story from 42% until you complete "I'm a Liar" starting with Kurabe House, Dinner Prep 3.
Again, there are several ways to unlock the above characters, but these are the paths we took to get them. Feel free to try your own routes, but tackling Iori Fuyusaka early on seemed to work well as a strategy to unlock everyone.
