One of the most charming things about Nexomon: Extinction involves crafting cores with the variety of shards found in mineable black rocks. Cores do so much for your creatures, so you should never ignore the rocks you find. However, there is a small problem in the game. You can only determine the type of shards you need for the desired hearts by going to the Crafting Lab. So that you can know the recipe for each kernel in nature, here is a definitive list of each kernel and its necessary ingredients.
The game doesn't mention their names in the crafting menu, just their colors. There are eight in total to remember: blazing (red), ocean (blue), nature (green), thunder (yellow), stone (brown), spirit (pink), storm (light blue), and ghost (purple) .
- Kernel of Destruction (I): three flaming shards and two thunder shards
- Core of Destruction (II): six flaming shards, three thunder shards and three stone shards
- Core of Destruction (III): 10 Blazing Shards, five Thunder Shards, and three Stone Shards
- Protection core (I): a fragment of the ocean and three fragments of stone
- Protection core (II): three ocean shards, five stone shards and one nature shard
- Protection core (III): six ocean shards, 10 stone shards, and four nature shards
- Vitality Core (I): two storm shards, three nature shards, and one spirit shard
- Vitality Core (II): four Storm Shards, two Ocean Shards, seven Nature Shards, and two Spirit Shards
- Vitality Core (III): six Storm Shards, four Ocean Shards, 10 Nature Shards, and three Spirit Shards
- Core Immunity (I): two bursts of thunder, a phantom shard and a spirit shard
- Core (II) immunity: four thunder shards, two ghost shards, two spirit shards and one storm shard
- Core (III) immunity: six thunder shards, four ghost shards, three spirit shards and four storm shards
- Core (I) experience: two ocean shards and three spirit shards
- Core (II) experience: three ocean shards, four nature shards, six spirit shards, and one stone shard
- Core (III) experience: six Ocean Shards, eight Nature Shards, 10 Spirit Shards, and four Stone Shards.
- Core Greed (I): two phantom shards and a thunder shard
- Greed Base (II): four ghost shards, three thunder shards and two ocean shards
- Greed Base (III): seven ghost shards, five thunder shards, four ocean shards and three nature shards
- Endurance core (I): two bursts of thunder and one phantom shard
- Endurance Core (II): four thunder shards, two ghost shards, one ocean shard, and two flaming shards.
- Endurance Core (III): eight thunder shards, four ghost shards, three ocean shards and four flaming shards.
If you are rich in shards, we recommend that you stick with purchasing level 3 cores as they can be stacked when applied to a Nexomon. For example, two level 3 Cores of Destruction can increase your beast's attack stat by 20%. Do your best to avoid selling Shards in the markets, as some like Storm Shard and Ghost Shard are hard to find.
