Call of Duty Mobile is available today and can be downloaded for iOS and Android. The game brings all the excitement of Call of Duty's signature multiplayer to your mobile device, but it can be a bit difficult to grasp at first. You can, if you wish, choose to purchase Battle Crates of various types from the Store using COD Points, the premium currency of the game.
Battle Crates is a reward that you can earn from leveling up, completing certain challenges and other in-game activities, but where do you go to open them?
Call of Duty Mobile - How to open battle crates
To open Battle Crates, you must first access your loadout. At the top left of the screen, you will see four icons. The icon further to the right is your inventory. Click on it to open the inventory screen.
From there, you can see all the items you have in your inventory, including your Battle Crates. From there, you tap on your battle crates to open them. Rewards can include gear, cosmetics, XP cards, or credits.
If you choose to purchase Battle Crates from the store, they should automatically open at the time of purchase, but any Battle Crates you earn through your achievements, challenges, and leveling will need to be open to from the Inventory screen, as shown above.
A quick note on XP maps, they are not used from the Inventory screen, but can instead be used to add XP to a weapon of your choice from that weapon screen when you load up. Just click on the weapon, then Upgrade in the lower right corner, select the XP cards you want to use and it will add experience to the weapon, unlocking new attachments.
