Control: How to unlock all abilities

The gameplay in Remedy's Control revolves around the unique abilities of the main character. Players take control of Jesse Faden, the head of the Federal Oversight Office as she fights to quell the invasive Hiss.

Jesse has a host of supernatural powers at his disposal, acquired by linking various power objects in the game. The player will have the ability to unlock all six players throughout the game, but only two are provided in the game's story. The rest must be found in the side missions.

Looking at both the already flourishing game Wiki page and Gamers Heroes' To guide you, there is a lot of information on what power items, what side missions, and descriptions on abilities.

The capacities

Jesse's abilities are almost all telekinetic in nature. As part of the game, Jesse gains the first object of power, the Service Weapon, at the start of her promotion, promoting her to the post of director of the Federal Bureau of Control and forcing her to face the hostile and invading Hiss. From there, she gains more skills from the other power items in the game.

launching

Throwing is the first skill given to Jesse in the game. It's a telekinetic ability where Jesse throws an object in front of her and throws it at a target.

Bouclier

As the name suggests, Jesse uses Shield to remove objects from the environment in order to create a barrier in front of herself, thus absorbing the damage done to her. The shield is obtained via a side mission called A Good Defense in the third mission of the game. The object of power to seek is called the Home Safe.

Elude

Evader allows Jesse to increase his movement speed for a short time, allowing him to dodge impending attacks or reduce the distance between him and his enemies. Escape can be found in the third mission, in the A Merry Chase side mission. The object of power associated with Evade is the Merry Go Round Horse.

Smash / Melee

This is a skill combination that is unlocked on its own but can be paired with Levitate to create a side effect. Jesse will already have the Melee skill as she will already have the required power item, the service weapon, at the start of the game. However, once Levitate is unlocked, the melee ability can be upgraded to Smash, which uses a telekinetic power to boost damage and effects.
