Everything revolves around these ceramic pieces. Ceramic Coins are a new addition to Demon's Souls Remake - and like new coins from Bluepoint's other big remake, collecting them opens up a hidden area with a big prize. These worthless coins only appear in Fractured Mode, the new difficulty that mirrors maps.

So how does it all work? I will explain to you in more detail below.

There is a mysterious locked door in front Knight's Stone of the Tower [1-3] in Boletarian palace. The door can be interacted with, but obtaining the key requires special items called Ceramic parts.

The locked door is behind a illusory wall.

    • How to open the [1-3] Mystery Door: Collect 26 ceramic pieces and redeem them at Sparkly the Crow [3 = 1] to get the Rusty key.
      • Ceramic parts only appear in Fractured mode.

Use the rusty key to unlock the mysterious door and you will find the Penetrator Armor Set. This armor is exclusive to, and goes quite well with the Penetrator sword.

Ceramic pieces are only useful for swapping with Sparkly in [3-1]. Otherwise, they're very, very weak healing items. Completely worthless! Simply save them - and they can be saved over the course of multiple games - to exchange them for this boss armor set that fans will love.
