It's time to prove yourself Guardian. Destiny 2020's Solstice of Heroes 2 event has started and with it a new set of armor that you can get for your Warlock, Titan, and Hunter. You have to participate in daily events to upgrade your armor. The new event takes you to the EAZ, where you face off against a wave of bosses, then fight a final boss. After clearing the final boss with your team, there are an array of chests that appear on the map based on your performance. You have to find them to receive their benefits, and if not, they disappear and there is a time limit.
After opening the chest that falls on the boss, a range of chests become available on the map. You see how many chests are available on your UI, and soon after you open the boss's chest, chest icons show you where you need to go to find the rest. They disappear a few seconds after they appear and you must find them all to receive all the bonuses before the time runs out. If you don't, you are missing out on those key shards and may not reach your daily total because of it.
Last year redditor hulumulu0451 created a map of all vault locations on the EAZ map. You can refer to the map they created to make sure you investigate all of these places before the chests hit. The more bosses you take down before fighting the big one at the end of EAZ mode, the more chests you get. Hulumulu0451's map also includes the locations of the captured prismatic spawn that appear during combat, which you should visit.
