Does my CrossfireX beta progress continue in the full version?

CrossfireX will be available on Xbox One soon. Before that, the FPS title will receive some beta testing so that any bugs can be fixed, matchmaking tested on Microsoft's console, and more.

We've already covered when the closed and open beta periods will feature in this how-to guide, but you might be curious if your progress will continue in the full version. Beta progress was reset after similar events for other games, so will CrossfireX be too? Let's find out together.

Will my progress from the Xbox One CrossfireX beta remain complete?

In short, no. Your progress will not carry over from CrossfireX beta testing on Xbox One. This is true for both closed and open betas, so don't assume that your progress will stick with what you participate in.

We know this from a CrossfireX Beta FAQ posted on the game's official website. Once the Closed Beta ends on Wednesday, June 24 - and the Open Beta ends on Monday, June 29 - all progress will be reset on the servers.

This is to prevent any player who participated in either beta version from having an advantage once the full game is released. It wouldn't be fair to the newer CrossfireX players will run into other players who may be at a rank or higher, so everyone will start at the bottom and progress once the full game is released.

One thing beta players will keep, however, is a token of appreciation for playing either beta. If you participate in the closed or open beta, you will receive an exclusive ax to use. This will be your way of telling other players that you helped refine the game before launch, but you won't be able to beat them by being at a higher rank.
