Doom Eternal - Combat Mode Multiplayer Explained

How does Battlemode work in Doom Eternal?

Battlemode is a 2v1 multiplayer mode where one player takes control of the Doomslayer and the other two players take control of the demons. The Doomslayer comes equipped with every weapon in the campaign as well as every mod available for every weapon, and anyone who has completed the Doom Eternal story will feel right at home slaughtering an online demon attack. The Demon Team can choose from a handful of demon types, each with their own unique abilities and weapons. The Revenant, for example, is equipped with a rocket launcher and a jetpack, making it a deadly air threat.

The Demon Team can use various abilities and dangers that will force the slayer to death in bad situations, and they can see glimpses of him as long as a Demon player has him in their sights. If the Doomslayer manages to break the line of sight, however, the outline disappears and they regain the element of surprise. Much like in the Campaign, the Doomslayer can regain health, ammo, and armor through Glory Kills, Chainsaws, and Flame belches respectively, but demons have the option to stop this mechanic for a short time. period, preventing the Doomslayer from healing or obtaining ammo. If it's timed right, the demons can catch the Vindicator at an opportune time and finish him off while running low on resources.
