In this section of the guide we will show Final Fantasy Type-0 HD you how to manage the Chocobo that for the first time in the saga will not only be a simple means of transport to use in certain areas but can be bred and used as consumables anywhere in the Orience world map!
It is possible to find and CATTARE many Chocobo that roam the boundless moorlands of Orience but if you want to have really strong, resistant and above all fast Chocobo, you will have to breed them using the right herbs and choosing the pairings to unlock new types.
HOW DOES THE BREEDING WORK?
The breeding will be unblocked during the second chapter and you can try your hand at this particular practice inside the AKADEMEIA, more precisely in the special RANCH that can be reached from the PORTAL in the ATRIO of the main building.
To breed a Chocobo you just need to talk to the man near the barn and select a COUPLE OF Chocobo of DIFFERENT SEX to leave in the barn together with a HERB (at the end of this guide you will find out where to find the herbs and how they work). The chocobo will produce an egg that after 6 hours of free time will hatch releasing several Chocobo (the number varies from 4 to 15). Depending on the pair and the given herb you can get a different type of Chocobo. Let's see below how to get all the Chocobo Races in the game:

GHISAL HERB
EFFECT: They increase the chances of getting a different type of Chocobo than the parents.
PLACE: At the store in Keziah, in the Togoreth region. You will get 10 units at the Chocobo Ranch, the first time you make a pairing.
KRAKKA ERBA
EFFECT: The chances of getting a different type of Chocobo than the parents are greatly increased.

MIMETT HERB
EFFECT: Increases the chances of getting a Chocobo with good skill.
