Skysteel tools are made with new "oddly specific" materials.
Craftsmen and Gatherers will need a set amount of 'weirdly specific' Skysteel Tool Materials to upgrade their Skysteel Tools from the base prototype to the current level increased +1 max. Gatherers will find their materials in the field, and Craftsmen will need a combination of regular gear and an oddly specific item purchased with Yellow Crafter Scrips (level 70 items; bottom of the page). Anglers will also need to purchase the Skyball bait before hitting the ole fishing hole. Additional relics of the Skysteel Prototype Tool can be purchased for 80 gil from Denys.
Additionally, any materials gathered or crafted to be returned.The only exception to this is the secondary item for gatherers, which is a hidden item found in the same nodes as other materials. In addition, craftsmen must craft their items with the Skysteel tool. This limitation does not apply to pickers.
I'll break it down by level and class below, and added the area for gatherers. Craftsmen will purchase all of their weirdly specific items from the Script Vendor for 50 Yellow Scripts per person, and can collect their usual Rugs either with their own gatherer or on the Market Board (for a total of 8000 Yellow Scripts for all Tools artisan augmentations, and 12 scripts for all +000 augmented tools).
