During Act 3 of Gears 5, you get the chance to explore the game's desert area, Vasgar. By going off the beaten track of the main mission and exploring the ruins of the city, you will activate the Scavengers mission. You will have to explore the desert at a reasonable distance to find all three. Here's where you can go to locate them.
Treasure Locations in Gears 5 - Side Mission Act 3
City ruins
The first location is west of the harbor docks. When you get there, Fahz will comment on an abandoned convoy. Del will wonder where everyone is as they approach the Abandoned Colony. Explore the ruins where you will meet Nomads and eventually lead a blocked door that you need to open. When you go to open it, you will find yourself in a part of ruins combat, fighting hunters. Fight them and then go through the doors.
Keep going, and you'll find an abandoned Nomad supply area. Explore it and you'll locate an A1 UIR LC circuit, which, if you find all three, improves Jack's diversion ability. Kait and Baird are going to have a brief exchange and then you will get a Scavengers mission update. You need to find the other two locations.
Cargo wreck
The next location is further out in the desert. After you're done with City Ruin, Kait and Paduk go to have an exchange where Kait explains that a small group of scavengers have been hit. Paduk says they were among the three teams sent to the desert. Go forward as you were going, and you should return to the Skiff you left outside. Go back and continue further into Vasgar. You will find the shipwreck of the freighter behind the Control House and Train Bridge areas on the north side of the map on the right side.
When you get to the sinking of the freighter, you will enter the area and immediately find two herds flying around the area. You're going to need to take them both before you can continue inside. They will go away once, forcing you to deal with some rejections, and then they will come back. When the two herds are slaughtered, you will have saved a member of the scavenger's crew. Paduk thanks you. Enter the shipwreck and find UIR LC circuit B1. You have to go inside the wreckage and climb the stairs. It's going to be on the treasure of the dead.
Artillery battery
The next final area is on the other side of the map, on the left side. It's south of the train bridge. You can probably do this area before the cargo sinks, but doing these sections in order doesn't matter. There is no defined recovery team discovery sequence. When you head in the direction of the battery, you know you are in the right area when you locate this huge pistol. It's hard to miss.
When you arrive, head up the stairs and you are going to find a newly made juvie pod. Open it and save the treasure member. You'll activate the next part of the mission, and the Nomad will rush to the door, hinting that other Scavenger crew members are inside, in the same situation they were in before you arrived. . You are going to have juvies pouring out from the top of the building, with a thief to fight. Defeat them all back, then enter the building. You will save the other crew members stuck in the pods. Go up the stairs to the next floor and you will find the next UIR C1 circuit on the table in the middle of the room.
