Ghost Recon Breakpoint Multiplayer Modes and What They Are

Multiplayer modes are a big plus for games that want to stick around for a long time. You can participate in online matches while playing Ghost Recon Breakpoint, too. They aren't as comprehensive as some of the other games Ubisoft has developed, but it's a good start. These multiplayer modes are available when you exit the initial cutscene and start the game. You can find the Ghost War menu on the Objectives board in your main menu.

Elimination

This mode is your main team four-on-four deathmatch. You have a big map to take on the other team of four players and you have to go through it constantly. Your objective is to eliminate the enemy team before they can eliminate your team. You can do this twice, winning the best of three rounds. There is a decreasing combat zone in the game, causing players to fight each other dying outside of the zone. It looks like the rings found in battle royale matches.

There are six different maps for the mode. The combat zone goes to random places on the map, forcing players to think differently each time they enter the map, despite how many times they may have played it. A monitoring system appears during the match, allowing a team to know the whereabouts of their opponents' locations. Players are going to have to choose how they handle combat, relying on their skills and communication.

Sabotage

Much like Elimination, players are going to have two teams of four to fight. However, there will be a distinctive “attacking” side and a “defending” side. The defenders will have to protect two different places. The attackers will have to sneak into these places to try to plant a bomb.

If one of the bombs goes off, the attackers win. It's a best of three games. It's a cat-and-mouse game where attackers need to be a bit more aggressive, and defenders need to make sure to cover both places without spreading out. If the defenders are too dispersed, they will be eliminated.

We don't know if Ubisoft plans to add more PvP modes to Ghost War, but it's likely. Given the popularity of the game and its expansion from a co-op experience, that would make sense.
