Ghost Recon Breakpoint: weapon stats and their meanings

Understanding weapon stats is essential in all games. You need to know how to modify your weapon and determine which weapon you want to use for your character. This answer will vary depending on the player's playstyle and the type of class they are playing. For Ghost Recon Breakpoint, you're going to want to review the more detailed stats before committing to a weapon type. Not all weapons will work for all four classes in the game, with some of them being more specialized than others.

Statistics on weapons and their meaning in Ghost Recon breakpoint

There are five weapon stats you need to know when playing the game. They are accuracy, handling, range, mobility, and recoil. You can read all of this information by opening the Gunsmith tab, highlighting that weapon in your inventory screen, and then holding the "T." pressed.

Precision

The higher your accuracy, the more likely the weapon is to hit exactly where it is announced. For example, sniper rifles will have the best accuracy in the game because they are accurate weapons. They can also shoot at extremely long distances, but another statistic exclusively determines this.

Handling

After firing, how far will your weapon move from its original target? Handling doesn't determine this, but it helps to stay on point. The majority of guns will have decent to poor handling. However, sniper rifles and light machine guns will have one of the worst. Snipers handle poorly because they usually only take one shot and then need to be readjusted, making it difficult to stay on one target. As far as LMGs go, they shoot so many shots at once; it is difficult for your character to hold the weapon in place.

Routing

How far can your weapon shoot its bullet without it becoming a compromise? Typically, weapons with incredible precision are also going to have a decent range. Weapons such as shotguns, submachine guns, and submachine guns are going to have terrible range, as they are designed to be handled closer. If you want to keep your distance from your opponents, make sure your weapon has a decent range to help you out.

Mobility

How difficult will the weapon be to carry and make your character's life harder to move? The higher your weapon's mobility score on its stats, the heavier it is to carry. You will notice it because your character is going to move with it, back and forth. If you want your character to stay fast and nimble, you'll need a superior mobility weapon.

Recoil

Just like handling, after firing a shot, the weapon will move, and it will swing from its original target. The more recoil your weapon has, the harder it is to stay on target while you continue to fire. Handling makes it a bit better to stay on point, but the recoil will eventually force you to stay on target.

Keep these stats in mind when viewing the guns in the game. Not all will work perfectly for all character classes. You also want to make sure that the weapon with the higher speed level is going to really benefit you, in addition to raising your speed level in general.
