[Guide] AC: Odyssey | All Sphinx Riddle Solutions

Sphinx riddles are an essential part of this "Awaken the Myth" quest in Assassin's Creed Odyssey. During this quest you will be face to face with the Sphinx who will traditionally ask you to solve three different riddles. Some of these riddles will be very simple, but some will need to test your grey matter. Luckily here on , VideoGamesTricks.com we have collected the solutions for all the Sphinx riddles that you will have to answer within the game.

How to solve Sphinx riddles in Assassin's Creed Origins

In order to solve all the riddles of the Sphinx in AC Odyssey and get the Riddle Guess trophy, you will need to select the correct answer from the three that will be offered. There are three riddles to answer, each with three options available. To answer you will have to press the button corresponding to your answer on the surrounding pillars, in no particular order. The only problem is that the Sphinx won't immediately tell you if your answer is wrong but will let you give all three answers before killing you inexorably if only one of the answers you give is wrong.

The Sphinx, fortunately, does not have an infinite number of riddles but will always choose from 12 randomly rotating riddles. So you simply have to learn the answer to these 12 riddles and nothing else (or keep this guide open while you play).

#1 In spring I'm gay in my different clothes; in summer I wear more clothes; when the cold increases, my clothes decrease; and in winter I'm practically naked.

One of the classic riddles of the Sphinx: the answer is ALBERO. Stripping refers to the change of seasons and how the leaves fall during the winter. The other two options will be CAPRA and MONTAGNA.

#2 I am alive, but I cannot breathe; I am cold in life as in death; I am never thirsty, but I always drink

The answer to the riddle is FISH. This is quite cumbersome, as the other two answers (COCCODRILLO and MEDUSA) may also have been acceptable, but will be considered incorrect.

#3 What is always old and sometimes new; never sad, sometimes blue; never empty, but sometimes full; never pushing, always pulling

The answer to the riddle is MOON. Again, the other answers to the riddle might have made sense, so it will be helpful to memorize the correct answer in the game. Select the Moon symbol and continue.

#4 What is big, but never grows; has roots that cannot be seen; and is taller than trees.

The answer to the riddle is MOUNTAIN. In this case the other options CITY and FOREST will be immediately clear are wrong because both have the possibility of growth, and a forest certainly cannot be taller than trees. Then select the mountain symbol and continue.

#5 In the night they arrive without having been taken, and a volt arrived the day they disperse without having been stolen #

The answer to this riddle is STARS. Stars appear during the night and disappear during the day. In addition, the riddle itself precludes singular answers, making the other two options SUN and MOON wrong at first glance. Select the Star symbol and continue.

#6 What can bring the dead back to life; make you cry, make you laugh, rejuvenate you; born in an instant, but lasts a lifetime

The answer to this riddle is MEMORY. The other two possible incorrect answers are Name and Bat. While the latter is clearly not the solution, Name may mislead you. Select the MEMORY symbol and continue.

#7 This thing devours all things: birds, beasts, trees, flowers; it chews iron, bites steel, grinds rocks into meals; kills kings, destroys cities; and brings down very high mountains.

The answer to this riddle is TIME. The other answers NATURE and EXERCISE are wrong: Nature does not devour, even though it can chew iron and bite steel, while the army does none of this. Press the TIME symbol and continue.

#8 As small as your thumb, they are the light in the air. You may hear me before you see me, but trust me I'm there

The answer to this riddle is COLIBRI'. In this case the other answers will be CALABRONE and ZANZARA. The mosquito is definitely too small to be the answer but a bumblebee could certainly have been the correct answer. Select the COLIBRI' symbol and continue.

#9 Never at rest, never standing still; it moves silently from valley to valley; it doesn't walk, run or trot; everything is cool where there is not

The answer to this riddle is SUN. The other answers WIND and PIOGGIA do not answer the last part of the riddle, as they bring the coolness where they are. Select the SUN symbol and continue.

#10 I make my den with threads and get rid of my prey with a poisonous bite #

The answer to this riddle is RAGNO. This riddle is very simple, just think of the cobweb and how spiders hunt their prey. Select the RAGNO symbol and continue.

#11 The one who can run but never walks; has a mouth but never talks; has a head but never sobs, has a bed but never sleeps

The answer to this riddle is FIUME. This riddle is unfortunately not very understandable in Italian. In English the mouth is called the mouth and the head source. The river bed instead is also present in the Italian language. Select the symbol FIUME and continue.

#12 Some try to hide it, others to cheat; but time will show, we will always meet. Try to guess my name, I promise you'll know it when I come to claim you

The answer to this riddle is DEAD. It is not possible to cheat or escape death, as the great classic The Seventh Seal of Bergman teaches us. Death will always find you. Press the DEATH symbol and continue.
