Red Dead Redemption 2 All Moral Decisions Guide

Red Dead Redemption 2 is bigger, more fun, has a lot of secrets to unravel and that also affects the story.

The narrative structure of RDR2 is more complex than the previous chapter. The player, from time to time, will have to make decisions and moral choices, such as whether or not to kill a character.

In this Red Dead Redemption 2 guide, we will keep you up to date with all the moral choices in the game, explaining the repercussions of each choice.

Red Dead Redemption 2 : All Moral Choices

Below, we'll tell you the moral choices you'll encounter on your dusty road, where you'll face them, and how best to deal with them.

Kill or spare O'Driscoll in the barn...

Kill or spare O'Driscoll in the barn is the first moral dilemma you will face in Red Dead Redemption 2.

This will occur during the first chapter, where one of O'Driscoll's guys sneaks into your barn and attacks you when you go to take a look at the noise he made.

After overpowering and interrogating him, you'll have to choose between choking him or letting him go. Below, we will look at the repercussions of each choice.

How to deal with O'Driscoll?

When you finish interrogating him, Dutch will tell you that he doesn't care how you handle the situation.

When he arrives at the house, you will have the opportunity to kill O'Driscoll or let him go. Obviously Dutch won't protest either way, so it's up to you.

The immediate effect is more or less the same. If you decide to kill him, Arthur will strangle him and leave him in the barn.

If you let him go, he will escape. Keep in mind that it's very cold outside and he doesn't look like he's dressed for that kind of weather. Arthur will also say that he doesn't think the boy has much chance of making it.

For all intents and purposes, he will end up dead either way, but in the first case, we will physically kill him.

However, some of your gang members may treat you differently depending on what you choose. The O'Driscolls might even have a slightly different attitude towards you.We have chosen to let him go.

Kill or spare the guards on the Cornish Leviticus train.

Kill or spare the Leviticus Cornwall train guards is one of the first options in Red Dead Redemption 2. During the first chapter, you will have to rob a train.

The last car is armored and there are three guards inside. Once you open the door, you will have to choose what to do with the guards. They will not put up any resistance.

How to deal with the guards during the train robbery?

At first, you will not be able to enter the armored car, so Dutch will ask the train guards to open the door.

They will refuse, saying that they work for Leviticus Cornwall. You will then use some dynamite to open it yourself, after which the guards will raise their hands and surrender. They don't look like guards at all, actually, but more like employees.

They will be tied to a rock while the gang steals everything. Once back, Arthur will be the one who will have to choose how to deal with the guards.

You can either kill them in cold blood or let them get back on the train. The right choice is not to kill them, as they do not resist.

This choice will affect your reputation, so it is best to avoid them as a precaution.

Kill or help the Blackwater man...

Kill or spare the Blackwater man is one of the moral choices in Red Dead Redemption 2. You will be presented with it in Chapter 2 after you go Valentine's Day with your gang mates in the Courtesy Society mission, Valentine's Day style.

You'll end up chasing the Blackwater man, and after a short but exciting hunt, you'll find yourself on top of a cliff, seeing him hanging precariously.

You will be able to decide his fate, and many people will wonder what the consequences of each option are. This guide will help you decide whether to kill or help the Blackwater man in Red Dead Redemption 2.

What to do with the Blackwater man in RDR 2?

It might be tempting to step on his toes, after all, he was spreading rumors about you and made you run around quite a bit.

If you decide to do so, the fallout will be fatal - the Blackwater man will die, and you'll have to loot his corpse for a handful of dollars and a gold ring. You'll also be penalized for your reputation, so obviously, don't choose this option if you're trying to play the good cowboy.

If you want to forgive him, you will receive his eternal gratitude. On the more tangible side, you'll get some honor points and the man will give you a pen. You can sell the gift for a quick profit.

It probably won't make a difference in the end, it's up to you to choose his fate.

Bear Hunt - Leave the bait or go away.

During the quest where the main character and Hosea go in search of clues, the two will end up dragging a bear with them. As you progress through the quest, you will be presented with the dilemma of splitting up or baiting the bear....

If you choose to split up, you and Hosea will go your separate ways in search of clues. Eventually, you will come across a clue.

However, the main problem is that in the meantime the bear will find Hosea. So you will have to hurry up and scare the bear away and save Hosea's life. You will have to scare the bear away with bullets.

If, on the other hand, you decide to leave the bait, a movie will be shown in which you will have to shoot the bear, which will then run away, and both of you will be safe. This bear is a legendary bear, and you can return to this position later to find it.

Ultimately, it seems much better to leave the bait.

Threaten or persuade the drunk at the bar?

The choice to threaten or persuade in RDR2 occurs during the mission A Quiet Time in Chapter 2. In the quest, Lenny and Arthur are approached by a drunken stranger in the saloon who starts to bother them.

You can either threaten him or treat him politely to get him to leave. It doesn't make much difference either way.

If you decide to persuade him to leave you alone, Arthur will politely tell the drunken stranger to leave.

The latter will do so. On the other hand, if you choose to threaten, Arthur will basically tell the stranger that he will kill him and in a rather gruesome manner. Of course, the stranger will immediately apologize for the situation.

Either way the drunk will go away, so you do it. We prefer to put it nicely.

To help or not to help Mary

Whether or not to help Mary in RDR2 is a decision you will have to make in the game. What you choose will make a difference in the "We Love Once and for real" quest, and may even exclude you from some missions. Our guide will show you what happens in both options. Needless to say: ATTENTION SPOILER.

What happens if you help her?

If you decide to help Mary (Arthur's ex) find her brother Jamie, you will have to find the Chelonians. They are basically a cult that Jamie fell into, and Mary wants you to save him. She tells you they are somewhere in the Cumberland Forest, and indeed they are. The game will mark you the location in the northeast of the Cumberland Forest. The Chelonians are on a cliff.

When you approach the cult, you will have a brief dialogue with them. After that, Jamie will escape on his horse and you will have to hunt him down. Stay as close to him as you can, at some point Jamie will cross the train tracks and start a short cut. Jamie will threaten to commit suicide and you will have to use the Dead Eye to shoot him with the gun without hurting him. The only thing left to do is to go with Jamie to Mary's house.

What happens if you refuse?

If you decide not to help Mary find her brother, this is where the mission ends. The two of you will share some kind words, talk about how you lost touch. What is important to note here is that this choice could prevent you from going on another mission. If you decide to help Maria, in fact, later on, she will ask you to save her father as well. So you should know this before you say no. In this game, agreeing to help people is always the best choice. In the end, it's up to you.

Bayou Nwa's Bayou Nwa's Stranger - Enter his house or not.

A stranger's cottage in Bayou Nwa is a place you can visit in the game... or not. This person, named Sonny, invites you to his cottage, promising us food. So, the question is, what to do, should we go in or should we leave?

If you go exploring Bayou Nwa, you may come across a stranger wandering around the porch of his cabin, just south of the letter N for Nwa on the map. The guy seems friendly enough; he invites you in with an offering of food. What to do - is he really that nice or is he a Wild West Leatherface? Our advice is to go in, but expect some unpleasant surprises, which you can make up for later.

Sonny has good supplies in his shack. Among them are valerian roots, which help to increase the Dead Eye. So, enter the stranger's hut, and he will hit you on the head with a large wooden board. You'll watch a short but disturbing movie afterwards, you'll wake up somehow to the northeast. You will also lose some money and all the cores will be red. So, take a minute to rest and replenish your cores. So, go back to Sonny's house and take revenge.

Take out your gun and break down the door. Sonny will try to escape, so kill him. Loot everything he has in his house, so you can get your lost money back too.
