Guide to all weapon locations in Doom: Eternal

Doom: Eternal wouldn't be a Doom game without a long list of weapons and high firepower to use against the relentless horde of demons you must fight. You have a total of eight weapons, but six of them have modifications to change the way you use them in combat.

Combat rifle

The Classic Shotgun Experience Doom. The Combat Rifle is the first weapon you receive in the game, and it's a heavy weapon from the get-go. It blows up enemies up close and deals a large amount of damage. There are two modifications: the Sticky Bomb and the Complete Auto. When you want to hit a small group of enemies or throw an explosive down a Cacodemon's throat, the Sticky Bomb works wonders. Full-auto gives you the extended power of the combat rifle, but from a distance on a single target.

Heavy cannon

For those who want a little more focus and fire with their attacks, the heavy barrel is a great weapon. You can shoot a lot farther than the combat rifle and you'll likely only hit a single target, but your opponent will feel that heavier firepower. It comes with a modification of the range of a barrage of missiles. When you need to snipe, the scope will focus on your target and you can clean your head. The missile barrage will fire multiple missiles and stick to your opponent, causing a lot of damage at the same time.

You will find this weapon during the Hell on Earth mission, after defeating a wave of demons and meeting your first Arachnatron.

Plasma rifle

When the demon you are fighting has a shield, the Plasma Rifle is a great tool to immediately lower it and even detonate it. It is a rapid fire weapon, similar to the chaingun, and is still a great choice of backup. It has a microwave setting which, when focused on an opponent, causes them to stay put while you slowly cook them, then explode, damaging others around it. He also has heatstroke which builds up energy the more you use it.

You will find this weapon in the Exultia mission, at the start of the Hell part of the mission after entering the portal.

Rocket launcher

If you need a blast to hit multiple enemies or eat a massive chunk of a single target, the rocket launch is always a good choice. It's a rocket launcher. When has that ever been a bad choice in a video game? It comes with two modifications: remote detonation and locking. With remote detonation, you can fire the rocket and then decide the best time to fire it, hitting multiple targets. The lock-on option focuses on a single target and shoots multiple smaller rockets at them, and follows them.

The rocket launcher is on the Cultist Base mission where you are about to fight Mancubus demons, on a ledge.

Super shotgun

The shotgun that made Doom the guy he is. It is a heavy double barreled shotgun that deals a massive amount of damage at close range to opponents. It doesn't have two modifications, but only one parameter, which is a hook. You can use this hook to sharpen a target and drive straight towards them, rather than having to rush at them or chase them around the map.

You locate him after taking control of a Revenant in the cultist's base.

Ballista

Much like the Plasma Rifle, the Ballista uses energy cells and deals precise damage against shields and other demonic monsters. For those who feel they need to use a crossbow during combat, this is a great alternative. It has two modifications: the crossbow and destroyer blades. The crossbow charges the weapon, firing a concentrated shot that explodes shortly after impact. The destroyer's blades charge an explosion, then unleash a horizontal explosion outward, cutting off any demons it hits.

After completing the Cultist Base, you receive this in the Fortress of Doom.

Chain gun

When you want to unleash a barrage of bullets against a horde of demons, the chaingun has your back. It uses heavy ammunition, similar to the heavy cannon, but it shoots them much faster. It has two modifications: a turret form and an energy shield. While using the turret, you stay in one spot and fire a more focused series of bullets against an opponent. The energy shield setting places a protective barrier in front of you, allowing you to still shoot demons.

You receive this weapon during the Super Gore Nest mission, after attempting to detonate the nest, and it's behind a locked door. You have to complete the area in front of you and then come back to it.

BFG-9000

The BFG. The iconic Condemn pistol. It's a powerful weapon that you can unleash against the demon horde, and it does an amazing job. When you shoot it, it throws a large green ball that moves slowly across the battlefield, reaching out with its tendrils to lock in and immediately kill any demon it touches. There are a handful of enemies that don't hurt, so don't always rely on them to get you out of a troubling situation.

When you need to drill through the Mars Core, you go to the BFG-10,000 and find the BFG-9000 inside.
