How to accomplish another death in the family
The first step to completing the Another Death in the Family challenge is to gather evidence and accuse someone of Zachary Carlisle's murder. Check out our Dartmoor Murder Mystery Guide if you haven't already. There are some things you must do during the investigation, so be sure to continue reading below even if you already have most of the evidence.
Here are the basic steps to completing Another Death in the Family:
- Repair lab equipment in the greenhouse.
- Complete the Dartmoor Murder Mystery.
- Accusez M. Fernsby or Zachary.
- Wait for Emma to poison Alexa's drink.
This is also part of the story of the Dartmoor mission called Means, Motivation and Opportunity if you prefer to keep up with the game. Make sure to enter Mr. Fernsby's office and collect all the evidence there. or use the mysterious switch to find Montogmery's long lost letter. You cannot complete this challenge if you lack this evidence. When you have enough evidence, Diana will step in and let you know that you have enough evidence to accuse Mr. Fernsby of committing the murder or to accuse Zachary of committing suicide.
You must also visit the greenhouse behind the mansion. Use the nearby crowbar to break in and be sure to pick up the key from the nearby fountain. Use the wrench to repair the lab equipment inside the greenhouse. That's all you need to do here for now. Head to the main entrance hall and tell Mr. Fernsby that you have completed the investigation. He will take you upstairs to Alexa Carlisle's office where you can present your findings to him. Sit down and tell him what you found.
While Emma is the real murderer, don't accuse him. You need Emma to help you meet the challenge. Make sure you choose Mr. Fernsby or Zachary. Request the file as payment and remove it from the safe to complete this part of the mission. Once you've presented your results to Alexa, she'll head to the balcony for a private moment. While this may seem like an easy assassination opportunity, resist the urge and don't kill her here. The important role plays out soon after, and you need Alexa Alive for that.
After returning inside, Alexa will summon the whole family for a gathering downstairs. Follow everyone and listen to the conversation. Alexa will address the family for a while before letting everyone go. You may notice that Emma is heading to an unusual place. Am here. She goes to the greenhouse to create a poison to kill Alexa. She'll use the lab gear you repaired earlier to create the poison, after which she'll return to the mansion and slip it into Alexa's drink.
Once the drink is poisoned, wait a while and don't think twice. Alexa will eventually walk and have a drink, at which point she will fall dead on the floor. The Another Death in the Family challenge will be completed, and you can head to any exit to complete the mission.
