How to get Hitman 3's secret ending
To unlock the Secret Ending, you must first reach the final level of the game and come face to face with Arthur Edwards, Agent 47's final target. Once you've reached Edwards in his private train car, take the serum from the case and wait about 30 seconds. He will ask you if you have any doubts, when you will be asked to inject yourself with the serum. If you do, 47 will pass out and you will be treated to an alternate ending where 47 embraces her identity as a nameless killing machine working for Providence. Completing the mission in this manner will also unlock the achievement "A New Father", which has a redacted description.
To recap, here's how to get the secret ending in Hitman 3.
- Play the Carpathian Mountain mission in Romania as normal.
- Take the serum from the case.
- Wait 30 seconds and do not inject Edwards with the serum.
- Inject the serum when prompted.
To get Hitman 3's normal ending, you would normally either kill Edwards or inject him with the serum, leaving him to a more cruel fate than death. Completing the mission normally results in a much happier ending in which 47 and Diana are reunited, putting their skills to good use for the greater good. Either way, 47 remains a hitman, but he chooses this path for himself and sets out on the path of creating his own identity. As 47 says, "There will always be people like them, so there must also be people like us."
