How to Change Your Outfit and Armor in the Outer Worlds

To change your outfit, you need to follow the steps below:

  • Open the main menu, then select the Inventory tab.
  • Click on the Armor submenu
  • Select the armor you want to wear and drag it to the appropriate location.
  • You have two slots, one for outfits and one for helmets

Each outfit, or piece of headgear, will give you an armor rating, a skill bonus, and possibly other perks, depending on the item's level. Like weapons, armor can break down over time. So be sure to repair the parts you use often.
