How to deal with the healing in Stoneshard

Managing your health in Stone Shard takes a lot out of you, and you can only save during specific points in the game. Not only do you have to make sure that every part of the body heals, but you have to see how badly it is broken or damaged after a fight, or even during it. You have a handful of methods to stabilize it, though, and the screen detailing all of this information can feel a bit overwhelming when you first start playing.

Read your health card

To access your character's health sheet, you need to press the c button on your keyboard, then access the second tab of your character sheet. You should see a detailed display and health bars for your head, torso, right arm, left arm, left leg, and right leg. Whenever your character takes damage in combat, one of these body parts takes a hit and you receive a negative effect if something terrible happens to them. You should see a little notification at the top of your screen if you break your arm, start bleeding, or if something terrible happens that is harming your character.

How to deal with the healing in Stoneshard

You can visit this sheet to see what the injury is doing to your character. To do this, hover your mouse over the icon to find out more. Some effects go away after a short time, and others require an item. For example, if your character is bleeding from a wound, the bleeding effect will wear off over time, but if you have bandages, you can treat it immediately. You need the right tool to handle the correct amount of damage.

The same goes for managing your character's pain levels. The higher the pain levels, the more negative effects they have. You can reduce your pain level in a number of ways, such as curing any wounds or treating problems, but you can also use short-term treatments, such as alcohol, to treat the pain. Alcohol has several side effects, however.

Heal wounds and heal your character

When your character is injured, you must use an item to heal his wound. You have two options: go directly to your inventory to use this item or access the health card. If you don't know what item you need for the wound, you better go to the health card. Hover over the health bar of the damaged appendix and right click on it. You should have a small list of things available to you, and if any of the items are white, you should have the item in your inventory. You will use it immediately and it should help the wound. However, it does take a turn, so remember that if you heal your character in battle.

Your character heals over time. If they are uninjured and moving, their primary health bar will slowly return to normal. You can achieve this by having them walk back and forth in a small area to let the time pass without hitting enemies.

You want to make sure you enter any dungeon with a variety of bandages, splints, healing balm, food, and water to help your character. The more you have in your inventory, the more enemies you can face and the deeper you get into a dungeon.
