How to do gas damage in Warframe

How to do gas damage in Warframe

Gas damage is Secondary damage in Warframe, meaning it is obtained by mixing two types of primary damage. To add gas damage to a weapon, you must use a mix of heat damage and toxin mods.

When you inflict Gas damage to an enemy, it generates a Toxin Cloud that inflicts Toxin damage to all enemies within 3 yards of the target. This means that Gas damage is effective against Infested and Infested Flesh, while Toxin damage is effective against Flesh and Ferrite armor. The gas process will also be made more efficient by the damage caused by the toxin.

To add Gas damage to a weapon, you need to modify it with the two elemental damage types, Heat and Toxin. Certain weapons in the game also cause Innate Gas Damage and are a great way to quickly complete any challenges, such as Nightwave's Daily or Weekly Missions.

The following weapons all cause innate gas damage:

    • Cyanex
    • Telos Boltor
    • Telos Akbolto
    • Zakti

If you don't have any of these weapons, it's easy to add gas damage to any weapon. Just go to your Arsenal, then to the Upgrade part for any weapon equipped, and add a mod. Heat and Toxin. You need to make sure that there are no other elemental damage mods that are going to interfere with the damage type, so be sure to check the stats on the left side of the screen and make the necessary changes in the Fallen for the weapon to do. Gas damage.

A very easy weapon to add gas damage is the Ignis and the Ignis Wraith variant. These weapons cause innate heat damage. So just add a toxin mod to change the damage type to gas.
