Following the lack of economic agreements between Apple and Epic, Fortnite has unfortunately been removed from the App Store, single source for downloading applications and games on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. This means that, in the current state of things, it is no longer possible to download the aforementioned title on the smartphone and tablet of the Cupertino company. However, for those who have previously downloaded Fortnite, there may be a loophole.
Premise
Before starting with the procedure that will allow certain users to have Fortnite on their iOS device again, we need to make some premises. The aforementioned title developed by Epic is based on the use of online servers, which could at any time be interrupted by the developers themselves (since the app no longer officially exists).
Therefore, even if you physically own the game, it does not mean that you will be able to continue playing forever. Furthermore, it is official that Fortnite on iOS will no longer receive any updatesas a result, all the new seasons, or even just trivially bug fixes, will never be added to the iPhone and iPad again.
To conclude with the premises, let us remember once again that the download can only be performed by those who have previously used and then downloaded Fortnite with their own Apple ID account (therefore it will not work with new Apple IDs belonging to the same person).
Re-download Fortnite on iPhone and iPad
Maybe many of you will know, but there is one on the App Store purchase history, from which you can re-download all applications removed from iPhone or iPad. Obviously we are going to use this list.
- To open "App Store" your iPhone or iPad
- Click on the profile icon at the top right
- Choose the item "Shopping"
- Scroll through the apps or use the search bar to locate Fortnite
- Click on the cloud icon to its right (if not available it will mean that the support has been permanently canceled and it will no longer be possible to play)
- Wait for the download and play
