Preliminary information
Before explaining to you how to dub on TikTok I have to give you some preliminary information about it. In fact, you must know that on this famous video sharing social network it is often used to make videos in lip sync (therefore moving only your mouth and trying to make it match with a background audio track), but it is also possible to perform a dubbing in the traditional way, replacing the audio of a video with your own voice.
In both cases, in order to publish the videos on TikTok, you must necessarily use the official social network app for Android and iOS / iPadOS: it is not possible to proceed from a computer, as, at the time of writing this guide, there is no possibility to use TikTok from PC (there is no desktop client and it is not possible to create videos from its official website).
Furthermore, you must also take into account that, as regards the possibility of dubbing an audio in lip sync, it is possible to use only the sounds and musical tracks present in the social network music library: A custom audio file cannot be loaded.
As for, instead, the dubbing carried out in the traditional way, it is possible to upload a customized video (made in other apps or on the PC), through themultimedia editor of the social network.
Having said that, in the next chapters of this tutorial I will provide you with all the useful information for dubbing a video in both cases mentioned, indicating how to proceed through the app TikTok for mobile devices. Read on to learn more.
How to find voiceovers on TikTok
Before we get into the action, I want to give you some advice - hopefully useful - on how to find voiceovers on TikTok: this way you can find the right inspiration for your videos.
To start, start the social network app by pressing on his music note icon located on the home screen and / or in the drawer of your device. After that, log into your account (if necessary), so that you can see the home screen.
At this point, start scrolling through the videos that are proposed to you, in order to find some inspiration and, consequently, identify the one created by a user that you intend to recreate.
Alternatively, you can find inspirations for audio and / or video to dub via the section Discover (the'icon of the lens of ingrandimento), which shows all trending hashtags.
Press this button and, if you wish, you can also search for the right inspiration for the video to be dubbed, via the Search Engine located at the top. In this text field, you can in fact type terms such as #dubbing o #doublingofilm, in order to display the corresponding search results.
If you have found the video of your interest, you can use its sound: to do so, press on thedisk icon located in the lower right corner and, in the new screen that is shown to you, press the button Use sound, in order to start using the TikTok multimedia editor for the purpose of making a video dubbing, following the instructions that I will give you in the next chapter.
How to dubbing on TikTok
After having made all the necessary premises for the correct use of TikTok let's see, together, how to make a dubbing in lip sync and also the steps to be taken to dub a video in the traditional way through the social network editor.
In the first case, if you intend to make the lip sync dubbing of an audio, you must have previously identified and added the sound to be dubbed to the TikTok multimedia editor (using the Use sound, as explained in the previous chapter).
At this point, all you have to do is press on round red button, to start recording. When you're done shooting, if you like, you can embellish and edit the video with effects e beauty filters, available by pressing the buttons located on the side of the screen.
If, on the other hand, your goal is to dubbing a video in the traditional way, you will have to upload a movie (importing it from your PC or downloading it from the Internet) on TikTok and then dub the audio. To do this, start the editor of TikTok, pressing on pulsating (+) located on the main screen of the social network.
After that, press the button Charge located in the lower right corner and, in the screen that is shown to you, select the video to upload, putting the check mark on it and pressing the button NEXT.
At this point, if necessary, crop the movie and press the button again NEXT, to confirm the addition. Then, on the next screen that will be shown to you, click on the button Dubbing (the'microphone icon). Now you just have to press on record button, to start recording dubbing.
Also, if you want to completely replace the original audio of the video, remove the check mark on the item Keep the original sound. When finished dubbing, press the button You prefer and then tap on the button NEXT, I will continue.
In both cases, after completing the recording of the movie, press the button NEXT, after having further embellished it using i filters he effects available.
Finally, to publish the video, fill in the text field dedicated to the caption and press the button Public, to share it on your profile.
