How to get primed mods in Warframe

Primed Mods in Warframe are buffered versions of most of the standard mods that you will use to create your builds. They will offer additional advantages over their standard counterparts, making you even more powerful. You can only equip a standard mod or the primed version. you cannot use both in the same build.

How to get primed mods in Warframe

Most of the primed mods in the game are from Void vendor Baro Ki'Teer. He will appear every two weeks on one of the public relays, selling rare items to the Ducats. All Primed Mods will have their own cost in Credits and Ducats, and their stock will change weekly. He won't always have primed Mods in stock, and when he does, he'll normally be limited to three different mods or less.

There is also a small selection of Primed Mods that you can only get as login rewards. These are:

  • Prepared Fury - 200 days
  • Primed vigor - 400 days
  • Primed shred - 600 days
  • Primed for sure - 900 days

The last way to get Primed Mods is to trade with other players. You can trade in Primed Mods, but not the four you get as login rewards. Primed Mods has an onerous trade tax [1 Million Credits], and the cost to purchase is usually high, depending on rank. Fully Ranked Award-Winning Mods can sell for between 400 and 600 Platinum, depending on the vendor and the type of Mod.

A fairly stable way to make Platinum is to buy multiple copies of the same Primed Mod from Baro and then sell them to other players for Platinum. I generally recommend against buying Primed Mods for Platinum as it makes more sense to wait until Baro has them in stock and then get them to get credits and ducats.

When using Bootstrapped Mods in your build, remember that they will always have a higher energy cost than their standard version; so you may need to use Forma on your weapon or Warframe to adapt them to your build.
