One of the most used functions on Apple TV, since its first marketed version, is that relating to iPhone and iPad screen mirroring. In fact, many times, both for work and entertainment purposes, it is necessary to share the screens of your iOS device with several people and to do so, nothing is more comfortable than a large display such as that of projectors or televisions.
Today we will see how to duplicate the iPhone and iPad screen on Apple TV, but first, make sure you have a mobile device or tablet from the Cupertino company, the TV box set we have talked about extensively and, of course, a TV or projector connected to it.
Enable AirPlay on iPhone and iPad
The preliminary actions to be completed to perform the duplication are limited to verifying the connection to a home network. Both the iPhone (or the iPad) and the Apple TV must in fact turn out connected to the same WI-Fi lineotherwise the AirPlay function will fail to establish a connection between the two products. Once this is done, all that remains is follow the procedure you find below.
- Open the control center on iPhone or iPad (on iPhone X or later and on iPad with iOS 12 or later you will have to swipe your finger from the top right corner downwards, on all other models or software you will have to swipe the finger from bottom to top starting from the edge)
- click "Duplicate Screen"
- Select the Apple TV name and, if prompted, enter the code that appears on the TV
Obviously, to cancel the duplication it will be necessary to carry out the same operations and conclude everything with "Stop duplicating". For more privacy we recommend activating the mode "Do not disturb" while connected, to avoid showing incoming notifications to everyone.
