Many Rocket Arena characters feel like they got lost on their way to a Halloween party. You have your man in a pirate costume, someone else disguised as Elsa and of course your friend in a magician costume. In this case, however, the magician is no prankster. Mysteen is a unique character to use that doesn't fall into many classic archetypes, but she can wreak tons of havoc when used correctly.
Make the most of the magic of Mysteen
Mysteen isn't the fastest character you can play in, but she certainly isn't the slowest either. In many ways, she's an odd character as she excels on offense but with non-traditional strategies, especially when you consider how her defensive skills are where she really excels.
- Card rockets
- Mysteen's main rocket. These rockets are single hit and rather slow, but every third hit will triple the damage. You'll want to keep your distance from Mysteen as it takes a while for her attacks to hit (but when they do, they really do). At the same time, you will need to make sure that you are precise and will often have to try to follow your opponent and anticipate where they are going. Mysteen has 15 hits before needing to reload, which works great as they take a while to come out and pack a punch.
- Phantom
- Mysteen's special ability. This allows you to summon a Mysteen clone, which works wonders in several weird and spectacular ways. Your clone is more than just a decoy that can take hits for you without accumulating damage; she will run and launch rockets herself. You can (and should) swap locations with the clone by pressing the special ability button.
- You can use it to literally tag an enemy with yourself and also to get out of bad situations. If you stray far away from your clone and embark on a risky encounter, you can easily trade with your clone, who will usually be a bit behind you, giving you the distance you need to recover and retaliate. Creating your double and swapping locations can easily confuse enemies and save your skin when needed.
- The clone will last twenty seconds, giving you plenty of time to wreak havoc and only has about five seconds of cool down.
- Mirror shield
- Mysteen's secondary ability. Quite simply: a shield that will absorb rockets and prevent you from taking damage. Firing rockets yourself will negate the shield, but if you use one while you have a clone, you will both use one.
Strategies for Knockout / RocketBot Attack
It might seem counterintuitive, but you can use Mysteen's defensive abilities to outsmart your opponents and succeed offensively. We've found its best to alternate between shield and fantasies, rather than summoning the shield while you have a clone of yourself. Instead, clone yourself whenever possible to double your attacks. The clone will never be as efficient as a normal player, but it will do something anyway, and you can trade whenever you need to reposition. If things get really hairy, put on a shield and collect. As long as you are careful with your cooldowns and consistently use your abilities, Mysteen can be a great rocketeer in the arena.
Strategies for Rocketball
Because Mysteen's defensive skills make her so unbalanced, she's best used as a defensive player for these matches. When everyone goes to get the ball, duplicate yourself to confuse the enemy and lie down on it. Mysteen isn't the fastest or the most agile, so she performs best as a support player for this type of match.
Strategies for Mega Rocket
Because this king of hill mode is all about ousting the rocket area and capturing the area, Mysteen is especially great. Duplicate yourself and use your shield while camping around the missile and your opponents won't know what to do with you (other than trying to fire rockets, of course).
Treasure hunting strategies
As in Rocketball, Mysteen is best used for defense in this game mode. She can use her shield for protection if she grabs the treasure chest, but she is excellent at being a double bodyguard for one of yours. other teammates. Mysteen and her clone are less efficient at quickly grabbing coins, but the ability to throw a wrench into everyone's blueprints more than makes up for it.
Mysteen is a unique character in many ways and it takes time and practice to get used to. Once you get the hang of it, you'll be doing double the problem in no time.
