To prevent sharing your Instagram Stories, just perform two operations. This guide is valid for both Android and iOS and all you need is your smartphone with the Instagram application installed on it.

Step 1: Go to Settings

First, go to the Instagram Settings. To do this, open the application and go to your profile by clicking the little man icon bottom right as in the picture. Once you are on your profile, click the button in the shape of three horizontal lines () at the top right to open the side menu.

From here you will notice that, at the bottom of everything, there will be the words "Settings”Next to a gear icon. Once you enter the Instagram Settings you will be ready to stop sharing your Instagram Stories.

2nd step: block re-sharing

Once in the Settings, scroll down until you see the "Privacy and security". In it you will see various items, including "Re-sharing in stories"As the following pictures show:

By clicking on this item you will notice a little blue button which, if clicked, will prevent anyone from sharing their Instagram Stories. Unfortunately it is not possible to block them only for certain people, but you are free to activate / deactivate this option as many times as you want!
