In WWE 2K Battlegrounds, wrestlers face off in places called, as you might expect from the title, Battlegrounds. These locations are what you would expect from an arcade style wrestling game, as each one is filled with its own unique obstacles. Want to compete in New York? Expect some subway cars to move in the background. And if you're planning on wrestling in the Florida Everglades, watch out for random crocodiles that will be in the crowds.
Much like wrestlers, most areas in WWE 2K Battlegrouds need to be unlocked. In fact, the only battleground available when the game first launches is the New York Battleground. So how do you unlock each battleground in WWE 2K Battlegrounds? Let's go through the details.
Monday evening gross
- Objective - Complete the New York story in Campaign mode
While you don't have to unlock in the New York Battlefield, you can unlock a new area in the Empire State portion of the campaign. The Monday Night Raw Stage is the first area that can be unlocked, and in order to do that, you'll need to complete the New York City portion of the story. The final battle of this section of the campaign will feature your wrestler, Bolo Reynolds, taking on Finn Balor at the Raw Stadium. Defeat Finn Balor and you can unlock this set.
Everglades
- Objective - After completing the New York section, complete the Florida story in Campaign mode
After beating Finn Balor on Raw, the campaign story moves to the Florida Everglades. To unlock the Everglades battlefield, you must complete the entire Florida section of the campaign. In the final battle of the Florida campaign, you must defeat Paul Heyman's client Brock Lesnar. Defeat Lesnar and you are done with this part of the story.
Mexico
- Objective - After completing the Florida section, complete the Mexican story in Campaign mode
After competing in New York and Florida, WWE 2K Battlegrounds Part Three takes you south of the Mexican border. Just like with the Raw and Florida battegrounds, you will need to complete all of Mexico's history to unlock this area. You will need to defeat Lince Dorado to complete this part of Campaign mode.
Training camp
- Objective - After completing Mexcio's story, defeat Naomi and Carmella in a Tag Team match in the Boot Camp portion of the Campaign
WWE Women take center stage in Part 2 of WWE XNUMXK Battlegrounds Campaign Mode. This section of Campaign mode takes you directly to Boot Camp, but the method of unlocking this area is a bit different from the others we talked about earlier. You don't have to complete the Boot Camp section of the campaign to unlock this area, but you will still need to win matches.
The first match at Boot Camp will be a tag team match, and your opponents will be Naomi and Carmella. Defeat them, then select the next match above, which is a singles match with Naomi. Once you've defeated her, you'll face off against Naomi and Carmella again in a second tag team match. Win the rematch, and then you'll unlock the Boot Camp Battleground.
Scotland
- Objective - After completing Boot Camp, defeat Ember Moon and Ronda Rousey in a Tag Team match in the Scotland portion of the Campaign
Just like with Boot Camp, you will need to defeat two WWE Superstars in a Tag Team match to unlock the Battlefield of Scotland. First, defeat Natalya in the second singles match you meet in Scottish history. Once you do that, scroll down and follow the tree. After this victory, defeat Nikki Cross in a singles match. Once these two tasks are completed, you will be able to complete them in the Royal Rumble. Win the Royal Rumble, and then you can face off against Ember Moon and Ronda Rousey in a tag team match. Defeat Moon and Rousey, and the Battlefield of Scotland will be unlocked.
Sound
- Objective - After completing the Scotland section, defeat The Rock in Detroit, part of the campaign
The penultimate story in Campaign mode takes place in the Motor City. To unlock this battleground, you will need to defeat The Rock in campaign mode. But before you do that, you have to defeat "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt in singles. Defeat Wyatt, and then you'll get your crack at the Great One.
WrestleMania
- Objective - After completing the Detroit section, defeat Ember Moon in the WrestleMania portion of the campaign
The final battleground that will need to be unlocked is WrestleMania. After completing Detroit History, you will be propelled onto "The Biggest Stage Of All." To unlock the WrestleMania battlefield, you will need to be victorious in the first four matches. After completing the first four battles, you will have a one-on-one match with Ember Moon. Defeat Moon and you have successfully unlocked all battlegrounds in WWE 2K Battlegrounds.
