While WWE 2K Battlegrounds has a comprehensive roster that includes both current and former WWE artists, that doesn't mean you'll have access to all of them right off the bat. You'll be able to choose from a handful of wrestlers when starting the game for the first time, but the majority of the WWE Superstars in the game will need to be unlocked. So how do you unlock each character in WWE 2K Battlegrounds? Let's see what you need to do.
But before we get into how to unlock all of the characters, let's quickly go over which wrestlers you'll have access to at the first launch. These wrestlers are:

- Randy Orton
- Mistery King
- Ricochet
- Robert Roode

WWE Female Wrestlers
- Beth Phoenix
- Charlotte Flair
- Liv Morgan
- Mandy Rose
- Natalya
- Nikki Bella

In order to unlock more WWE wrestlers, you will need to acquire Bucks or Golden Bucks. Each wrestler can be purchased using either form of currency. However, the cost for each is different. Additionally, there are also wrestlers that can only be unlocked through the game's Campaign mode.
With that said, let's see how you have to unlock each character in WWE 2K Battlegrounds:
The list.Keep in mind a few points on this list. Firstly, in order to unlock the wrestlers that will cost dollars or gold dollars, you will need to scroll to the Superstars tab on the home screen. Here you will see which wrestlers have been unlocked and which have not. To unlock a wrestler, scroll to the one in a figure case, then press Y / Triangle to purchase that superstar.

Over 50 additional WWE wrestlers will be added in a post-launch update, which means you'll have to wait to use these contenders.
