A new event is available in Apex Legends called System Override. In it, players have the opportunity to participate in the new mode called Deja Loot. It features a consistent map with all of the same weapons and gear, but the flight path and safe zone changes daily. You and your team members must find the best locations to drop and wreak havoc on the other squads. There are 24 limited-time cosmetic items that you can unlock by grabbing exclusive System Override packs, and if you take all 24 of them, you can acquire the Heirloom item from Octane.
Each pack contains at least one of the cosmetic skins required for a character or weapon inside, which means you only need to acquire 24 packs. All packs contain three items. They do vary in quality however. For example, you have a 50% chance that this is one of the Epic or Legendary skins available for the System Override event. The other two items will be from the game's standard pool, and each pack has a 10% chance of becoming legendary, a 20% chance for an epic item, and a 70% chance for a rare item to drop.
You have two main ways to collect these exclusive apex packs. The first is to buy them directly using Apex Coins, which you collect using real money. You can buy a single pack for 700 coins or buy 10 for 7. For those looking to get the bigger bites out of event packs, this is the most straightforward method. Alternatively, you can use crafting metals to directly craft any of the 000 cosmetic items featured on the System Override track. Click on one you don't have and use your saved material. Epic items will cost 24 Crafting Metals and Legendary items will cost 800.
Other than these two methods, there is no other way to get these items back in System Override packs. This can cripple a handful of players who may not have the most money or have too many crafting metals saved in Apex Legends.
There are two Legendary skins, one for the Peacekeeper and one for the Wingman, available during the System Override event. You need to participate in the Deja Loot Limited Time Match, and there are a few useful places that you want to land with your team. The System Override event ends on March 17th. Cosmetic items from the event may return at a later date.
