Do you still have an old iPhone that can't install iOS 9 or 10? Here is the situation in which you will find yourself: the older iOS is, the more likely it is that when you go to the store to buy or download an App it will find you with a message telling you that the iOS version is too old. How to do?
Note: installing an old version of the App does not guarantee that it will still be functional. It is likely that online functions are limited on purpose for security reasons. Most offline functions may be available and functional.
First of all, take note that this system can allow you at the moment to install old versions of the desired Apps in your old iPad / iPhone. We are not aware if Apple will eliminate this possibility in the future.
For the moment, however (and also legally!) The Apple rules are the following: if you buy an App from a device that is compatible (and therefore updated, but now we get there) even the older versions of that application must be available to the user. These old versions can run on very old operating systems as well. To buy these Apps we can also use iTunes, so our simple PC. Of course you can also download free apps with this method, you don't have to look for paid solutions.
Once you have obtained or purchased the App through iTunes, always using the same account, take your old Apple device. Look for the App you just bought or got in the store. Now you can click on “Install”. As a result you will be directed to a request to install, if you wish, the oldest version of the App that is at least compatible with the operating system in use. Confirm everything and get the App that you finally fought so hard to get it!
Obviously, if the App existed in its compatible version for example, iOS 8, you cannot still install it in iOS 7 since it did not exist at the time.
