And these are all the same challenges. There are Shards of Brilliance to find, Blocks of Bower to shatter, and Shadow of Fury to shatter. One of the challenges is a bit weirder than the others - you'll have to find a specific graffiti spot and use Bowser Jr. on it. If you've overlooked Bowser Jr., you might need a little help with this one.

Chat Shine # 1: The first Cat Shine Shard is unlocked during the tutorial area. This area unlocks later after completing the main part of the story. When you return, this level will be fully playable.
Chat Shine # 2: Bowser blocks are pretty easy to spot this time around. They are on the grassy ledge after Toadette's camp, but before boarding Bowser's crashed flying ship.
Chat Shine # 3: Go to Bowser's crashed ship and press [R] - then use the pointer to aim for the "?" graffiti on the carpet of the ship. press [R] again and Bowser Jr. will paint Mario a special gift.
Cat Piece # 1: The first cat coin is on the high mountains in the shape of a cat to the right of the level entrance. Use a Cat Mario power-up to climb up and grab him.
Cat Piece # 2: At the crashed ship near the starting point, there is a fallen wooden mast. Climb to the top!
Cat Piece # 3: Dive into the water on the outer edge of the level to find a section of the missing crashed ship. In this aquatic alcove, there is a cat room.
Cat Piece # 4: Go to the front of the ship where you will find Bowser's ugly mug on the bow. There is also a cat shard on his nose.
Cat Piece # 5: Near the lighthouse, there is a large stack of Goombas with that cat shard.
Chat Shine # 4: Collect the 5 cat coins to earn this shard.
Chat Shine # 5: And the latest Cat Shine is easy. Another Fury Shadow - you know what to do, send Bowser Jr to hit the black slime Luigi when he taunts you.
