The camps are the refuges of Monster Hunter World; small sanctuaries where hunters can regain energy, grab a quick meal to improve health and stamina, change or restock. Iceborne The new Hoarfrost Reach has come with all the dangers of aggressive monsters, in addition to biting cold and ice. The camps here are as important as the rest of the World Maps.
While some camps unlock on their own, others require players to sniff them during quests, expeditions, or while hunting. Finding the campgrounds can be a challenge, especially when the map folds into itself or players need to move up to higher levels.
Rumors were circulating about the location of the campsites as early as June 2019 on Reddit. However, the Iceborne retail campsites were first reported by PowerPyx. Hoar Frost Reached in Iceborne has five campsites in total. Three of them are unlocked by story progression.
Camps unlocked by story progression:
South Camp
West Camp
Shipwreck camp
The southern camp is in Zone 1, part of the upper level of the region. This is the default starting camp for Hoarfrost's reach.
The Western Camp is in Zone 5, also on the upper level. It will unlock when players go on an expedition for the first time.
The castaways camp is located in zone 12 and, unlike the first two, on the lower level. It will unlock once you achieve two stars in the Master Rank assignments.

Both camps are at the top level. The Central Camp can be found in Area 7 as part of the “Establish Camp: Reach of Hoarfrost I” delivery quest. The North East Camp is located in Area 15 and is unlocked by the delivery quest "Camp Setup: Hoarfrost II Scope"
