How to unlock the AN-94 after season 5
Gone are the Battle Pass level requirements for the AN-94. In its place is a simple challenge. The Lethal Assault Rifle, complete with a tilted magazine and hyperburst function, can be marked by fulfilling the following conditions:
Similar to ISO SMG, close quarters will be ideal here since the assault rifle will be fired from the hip. You won't be able to rely on the accuracy of aim for this challenge. So let's turn the trusty M4A1 into a challenge machine.
Assuming you've spent some time leveling the M4A1 since launch, the weapon's level is likely to be at max (or close to). Hope you did, as some recommended attachments unlock at higher levels.

There is really only one selection that we need to discuss here and that is the attachment under the adjunct 12 caliber barrel. While the rest of the weapon is set up for fast movement and solid fire on hip, you won't have to rely on the M4A1's standard shot if you play well. Shotgun kills under the barrel always count as a shot to the hip. Folding into smaller spaces, you won't need to bet on an assault rifle's hip-fire abilities to complete the challenge, but the props are in place to make that painless, too.
Depending on when you read this guide, you might be lucky enough to have a Rust or 24/7 Shipping option on the reading list. Either would be ideal for securing at least seven eliminations per game, even if you get a day off. At the time of writing, the playlist is focused on Season 6's new additions: Broadcast, Mialstor Tank Factory, and Station.
Of the three, scattering may be best suited for securing positions within shotgun range of your enemies. However, all three offer enough opportunities for close engagements to drive progress forward. Keep in mind that you can withdraw from a match after seven enemies have been eliminated. The killings are not erased to start early. It is certainly not considered great sportsmanship online, but it is a common tactic used to overcome similar challenges.
