Monster Hunter World Iceborne - Comment battre le Lightning Anjanath

The Fulgur Anjanath is one of the many new subspecies appearing in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. Even though it looks like good old Anjanath from the base game, he has a few new tricks up his scaly sleeve.

Best items to fight Fulgur Anjanath in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne

The Fulgur Anjanath replaces Anjanath's standard fire attacks with thunder and is capable of inflicting Thunderblight. To avoid this particular disease, you'll want to be able to equip as many blackberries as possible. The Thunderproof Coat is also a great choice for this hunt, as it can protect you from thunder and Thunderblight damage.

Considering the severity of Fulgur Anjanath's attacks, it's also a good idea to prioritize items and gear that offer health and defense bonuses.

Best weapons and armor to fight Fulgur Anjanath in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne

You'll want to beef up your lightning armor. Sets like the Tobi-Kadachi armor have built-in Thunder Resistance which will reduce damage from thunder and can even prevent Thunderblight from setting up if your resistance is high enough. If you don't have a high enough Thunder Resistant set, you can augment the other sets with Thunder Resistance jewelry. Of course, Fulgur Anjanath's physical attacks pose a threat as well. Defense jewelry and vitality jewelry are also a solid choice.

When it comes to weapons, focusing on ice and water is a good choice. Ice does a bit more damage when the Fulgur Anjanath is not charged, while water does more damage when charged. You've already fought quite a few monsters on the ice in the Hoarfrost area, so you shouldn't have much trouble gathering the materials you need. Fulgur Anjanath is reasonably vulnerable to all ailments (a little less to blast), so if you want to base your weapon on ailments, anyone will.

How to beat Fulgur Anjanath in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne

Throughout the fight, Fulgur Anjanath will be charged with electricity, adding thunder damage to his attacks. You can (and should) attack his head to empty this charge, but keep in mind that this will put you in a dangerous position. Watch for the strength of her bite, especially when she is fully charged and gains a muffled bite that aims directly at the ground in front of her. If you want to fight a little more defensively, try to stay behind the beast and attack its tail and paws.

If you're fighting with a ranged weapon or need to stop to use scavenge items, keep an eye out for Fulgur Anjanth's ranged attacks. Its longest possible attack allows it to throw a ball of snot at you, which is relatively weak when the monster is not charged, but formidable when charged with thunder. He can also perform a diving attack and throw his whole body at you, which can easily kill you if you're already weakened.

During this fight, try to balance your attacks with Fulgur Anjanath's back with some head strikes to keep yourself from taking too many large-scale attacks while preventing an excessive charge. The Clutch Claw can come in handy here, allowing you to attack Fulgur Anjanath's head for free, while riding the beast.
