NBA 2K21 Next Generation Update 2.0.0.7 patch notes
This is the second patch for NBA 2K21 Next Generation and features many changes in various areas of the game including The City and more. You can check out the full game patch notes below or on the NBA 2K website.
General
- Ongoing improvements to the Lower Bowl feature in all NBA arenas
- Addressed rare issue when using a face scan downloaded from the MyNBA2K app
- New sponsor patch added to Boston Celtics uniforms
- New York Liberty logo has been updated with the latest design
- Muted reflections on goggles and glasses on coaches and players
- Improvement of hair physics in female dancers
- Fixed an issue with the Atlanta Hawks mascot tail
- Similarities have been updated for the following players / coaches:

- D'Angelo Russell
- Jayson Tatum
- Trey Burke
- Phil Jackson
- Christian wood
- Mychal Mulder
- Mfiondu Kabengele
- A number of newly drafted players from the NBA Draft
gameplay
- A new option has been added to allow you to change the color of the Shot Meter
- The frequency of contact dunks and alley-oops has been slightly reduced
- Multiple movement improvements including support for animations, v-cuts, sprint throws, and dribbling
- Various improvements have been made to triple threat animations and post behaviors
- Improved selection of AI layout near shopping cart
- The Green Machine badge will now appear correctly in the HUD when activated
- Some modifications have been made to prevent the alley-oops from being thrown from behind the rear panel
- Slightly improved free throw accuracy overall
The city
- Performance improvements in the city, especially during gameplay
- Improvements and additions to various buildings / objects / landscapes / lighting in the city
- Play recaps on affiliate courts now display a reminder that games played outside of your own affiliate courts have 50% fewer reps
- Fixed an issue where progress was not preserved in The Rec when all users on the opposing team quit
- Addressed an issue in Pro-Am that could cause players to appear as invisible
- Now only friends are currently playing

- There is now a button to invite players directly when viewing your friends list on the phone
- A second set of Affiliate Uniforms has been added to the appropriate stores
- Improvements have been made to the city map
- Addressed various issues where the trial feature was acting erratically in some stores
- A new storefront has been added for the New Balance store in the city
- Fixed a rare issue that could occur when waiting in the Pro-Am Lobby after coming from Rec
- Fixed some alignment issues with the low rider bike
- Opponent's strength bonus is now displayed in the recap after Pro-Am games
- Pro-Am socks will now correctly respect player-defined sock length
- Fixed an issue with the Garage Hoops Strikeout game when multiple players were involved
- Players will no longer be kicked out of the match if they are inactive when teams are being built for Garage Hoops games
- Fixed an issue where players could disappear after Garage Hoops and Gatorade Rental Court games
My career
- The difficulty bonus for VC and MyPOINTS / badge progress is now correctly displayed in the post-match recap screen for MyCAREER games
- Physical attributes will now be properly improved when going from 95 to 99 OVR
- Fixed a rare crash that could occur when attempting to load your MyCAREER save while a game update was pending
- Fixed some issues with Interested Colleges during the secondary game of
- Improvements have been made to the post-game crowd at the end of NBA games in MyCAREER
- 2K Beats songs that have been disabled by the user will no longer play when returning to MyCAREER landing
MyNBA
- Addressed a team control issue when participating in G League matches in MyNBA
- You will now receive a VC for playing G League matches in MyNBA
- Resolved a hang that occurred when releasing a two-way Free Agency player who was currently assigned to the G League
- Resolved a crash that could occur when attempting to display specific notifications in the main menu
- You can now select teams from the Team Details and Governor Details pages when creating MyNBA / MyWNBA
- Ensured the Ceremony of the Ring and Revealing the Banner segments will always be read appropriately
- Fixed a crash that could occur in the Player's Training menu when changing a player's focus
- WNBA playoff mode will now start correctly in 2021
- Several other improvements and stability changes to improve the overall experience
The W
- Fixed a rare issue that could make your MyPLAYER invisible in The W
- Popularity will now properly increase at the end of a game of The W Online
- Fixed an issue with some animations that were incorrectly equipped by default and not previewed when selected
