Team Ninja has been actively working on adding more content to their critically acclaimed action role-playing game, Nioh 2. The first DLC, The Tengus's Disciple, has already added a significant amount of content to the base game, and the game is set to become its second DLC, Darkness in the Capital. When will it be released?
Team Ninja has announced that the Nioh 2 Darkness in the Capital DLC will be released on October 15, 2020.
Will there be new weapons and armor?
The new DLC will add new sets of armor and weapons to the game. Team Ninja has focused on a weapon that will focus on “melee” combat. What this weapon has not been revealed, but it should add some decent variety to the game's base combat.
What will the gameplay look like?
Since this is a DLC, you shouldn't expect any major deviations from the base gameplay. However, Team Ninja hinted that players can expect a lot of new content in the game. From the tricky new Yokai to "overwhelming; y powerful bosses ”, the difficulty is ready to jump a few notches higher in the DLC. Players will also receive new Guardian Spirits, Skills, Ninjutsu, Onmyo Magic, and Soul Cores.
What will be the subject of the plot?
The DLC takes place in the ancient city of Kyoto, aka "Heian Palace", where the protagonist is taken while inspecting a used box at a shrine. Ancient Kyoto is also invaded by Yokai, and the protagonist joins forces with the other heroes of the time to bring them down.
Nioh 2 was released on March 12, 2020 and is available on PlayStation 4.
