New things are coming Pokémon Go, and one of them is the introduction of Regigiggas. He's a massive, Normal-type creature, and he's the big boss of Regirock, Regice, and Registeel. It will be featured in a special research quest titled "A Colossal Discovery". There are two methods of locating Regigigas. You can wait for the event to release in early November or purchase a special real money ticket for the chance to catch it sooner.

Get access to Regigigas early with a Colossal Discovery Research Event Ticket
Regigigas is making his first appearance in the game. Regirock, Regice and Registeel have come before, but the Big Boss is going to have his first appearance.
For those who can't wait to catch this Pokémon, you have the option of entering and purchasing an additional ticket to access it. Here's how you catch it when you visit the store.
- Press the "Find out more" button in the store.
- Press the "Buy" button. It will cost $ 7,99, or your area equivalent to that amount.
- You will then receive a pop-up window indicating that you have received a ticket for A Colossal Discovery. Once you click OK, the ticket will appear in your item bag.
- Before the event, you will receive a medal. When the event begins and you open the app during event time, you'll have access to the special search titled A Colossal Find.
When you collect the ticket, you will have access to the event, but on a specific date. The A Colossal Discovery research event begins November 2 from 11:00 a.m. to 19:00 p.m. in your area.
Players participating in this event are going to be given a variety of different tasks to complete during this event, which we don't know what they are at this time. Those who take part in this event will have the chance to complete these unique tasks after the event and for as long as they need.
You don't need to go to a specific area. The unique A Colossal Discovery research event will take place in the region you are in and does not restrict the number of players unless they do not want to pay.
What are you going to get for being outside of this event? Here's what else:
- A colossal discovery medal
- Up to 10 additional Raid Passes at no cost during the Special Research Event when you spin a Photo Disc in a Gym. These passes will no longer be available at the end of the event period. You cannot have more than one Raid Pass at a time.
- One Unova Stone, One Sinnoh Stone, and an Exclusive Avatar on Special Research
For those who want the chance to take part in the event, try to capture Regigigas before he arrives in November, this ticket is the way to do it. Now, throughout Niantic's blog post on Trainers Tackling Regigigas Early, they mention the fact that there is a "chance" of this happening. Trainers attending the event may be wasting their time, so be careful.
Regigigas beyond a colossal discovery
If the Trainers aren't interested in paying the money to be able to pursue Regigigas, you'll have the option to fight him in an EX Raid. EX Raid Events are special raids that take place at specific times. They will appear on a specific date and time, so make sure you don't stay on the lookout for upcoming events. Niantic will release this information soon and at a later date.
