GIMP Is a great one open source photo editing program available for free for all major operating systems: Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. As is more than easily deduced from its name, TiltShift Generator is a free application that allows you to apply the TiltShift effect to photos digital. For those unfamiliar with this type of term, the TiltShift effect is that effect by which, by fading a part of an image, a characteristic miniature effect is obtained that allows you to create artistic shots from anonymous city landscapes. Paint .Net is a hugely popular software for graphics and photo editing which filled the gap that previously existed between basic graphics programs, like Paint, and complex photo editing solutions, like Photoshop and GIMP. PhotoFiltre
Photofiltre it's a graphics program very similar to Paint .Net capable of offering a fairly extensive feature set for basic photo editing. It is also available in a portable version (which does not require installations to work and can be carried on any USB key) and includes a good number of filters that allow you to work easily with digital photos in order to obtain effects, such as smoking and the blur quite easily. Pixlr
Pixlr is a terrific one web application in Flash that allows you to edit photos online through a user interface very similar to that of Photoshop. As easily understood, it does not offer all the advanced features of ultra-professional solutions such as Photoshop and GIMP but for a Web-based product it is really valid. In fact, it allows you to manage the levels of the images and to apply a wide range of filters to them, ranging from adjusting colors to shading. It does not require the installation of any add-on on the PC and works without distinction on all browsers and operating systems. It is completely in British. Try it from here.
