Ranking the worlds in The Sims 4 from worst to best

As The Sims 4 continued to grow, more and more options were made available to players for their world. These places to live all come with different lots available, shops / restaurants and perks.

However, some are just plain better than others, and it can be important to know this when you are starting out, so that you know which world you should choose.

There are 16 Worlds you can choose from right now and we've ranked them for you here, from worst to best.

16. Magnolia Promenade

Go to work pack

Considered the worst world in the gaming community, Magnolia Promenade is one of the blandest worlds available. It comes with just four lots, three of which are occupied by pre-built retail stores. These stores offer some incentive to have stores built already when you start up, but they just don't have enough to justify their choice.

It also doesn't help that it comes in a $ 40 pack.

15. Strangerville

Strangerville Pack

Ranking the worlds in The Sims 4 from worst to bestRanking the worlds in The Sims 4 from worst to best

It's a weird world and that's the point. We know this world is meant to be a once in a lifetime experience, but beyond the story mode, there just isn't a ton to offer.

The World comes with 12 bundles and includes a library, bar, secret lab, and more. It has a beautiful view of the desert which is really nice to watch, and the mystery of the story is really great when you first read it.

The problem is, you have to complete the story to turn it off, and the strange behavior of the inhabitants stands out in a weird way from the rest of the game. You'd better read the story, save the file there, and check it out. leave it there for later.

14. Granite Falls

Outdoor Retreat Pack

Ranking the worlds in The Sims 4 from worst to bestRanking the worlds in The Sims 4 from worst to best

Granite Falls was the game's first vacation world and it really shows. Holidays are always a good thing and we love having it in the game, but this world is a tough first attempt at creating a world of vacation.

It is small, consists of only five lots, and includes a national park. It was a good look at the potential on its first outing, but it just doesn't have enough to put it above other vacation spots. Not to mention the trees that constantly block your view, leading to frustrating times.

13. Forgotten Hollow

Vampire pack

We're torn on this one because we really love the spooky gothic vibe of this world. The general atmosphere is really cool and it is truly a unique place.

But he's just so small and doesn't bring enough of that uniqueness to place him higher on this list. There are only five bundles available on this one and the community bundles don't fit very well into the layout. The garden in the center is nice but there is simply not enough to do.

12. Newcrest

Basic game

This world can be seen as a builder's dream thanks to its 15 lots available and not much else to occupy. It provides a blank canvas for a person's creativity, but it won't always work with some people.

It just suffers from the blandness that affected a lot of things in the base game and hopefully a new world like this will come eventually, but with a little more.

11. Glimmerbrook

Kingdom of Magic Pack

This world seems bland on the surface with its five bundles, but it's something else below the surface that sets it apart: a portal outside the city that teleports you into the Magic Realm.

Here you can learn spellcasting, participate in duels, and buy magical ingredients. While this area isn't very editable, it looks really cool with great architecture and amazing views.

10. Selvadorada

Jungle Adventure Pack

We really love the look of Selvadorada; its surroundings are beautiful and it has incredible temples ready to be explored.

The problem is, it's still quite small with just seven lots to choose from, and includes a bar, a national park, and a museum. There are also dangers associated with this location, such as bugs that can make it unsafe to explore. But it could be a plus for some people.

Overall, we love how it looks, but just wish there was more to it.

9. Willow Creek

Basic game

With 21 bundles, it's one of the biggest worlds in the game. It comes with a number of pre-built houses, a museum, library, nightclub, gym, and park. It is a wonderfully friendly and lively environment.

But it comes from the base game and because of that it doesn't have a ton of “flair”. It's really good, but it just doesn't have anything that gives it that advantage. Except perhaps the Goths who reside there.

8. Britechester

Discover the University Pack

This world comes with a lot of flexibility and things to do. There are three areas that make up this location: Foxbury, Britchester and The Town. Each campus has two dormitories, a student house and a common area, while the city has three houses, a bar and a library.

There are still a lot of background decorations, unfortunately, and that's a big disappointment. Townhouses look pretty weird when you put them all alone in a big lot.

Nonetheless, it's a cool world that gives you the college lifestyle.

7. Oasis Springs

Basic game

This one is rated above Willow Creek due to its desert aesthetic which just gives it a special feel. Although it only has three vacant lots, there is still plenty to do as it includes a museum, lounge, gym, bar, and park.

Unfortunately, some of the community lots feel out of place and many constructions appear incomplete as they do not have a swimming pool. It feels like they should be there given the desert setting.

6. Del Sol Valley

Get a famous pack

This LA / Hollywood setting really stands out from us and it complements the pack it comes in very well. It feels like living in a city full of superstars with the three mansions, three small houses in a cluster and the downtown area which has a VIP lounge, regular lounge, museum, park and gym.

The details that bring all this atmosphere together are what stand out the most in this world.

5. San Myshuno

City Life Pack

San Myshuno is truly a once in a lifetime experience in The Sims 4. It offers festivals, collectibles, and an apartment system. Add this to a collection of cool nightclubs and places to visit, and the gameplay is something completely unique.

There are a ton of cool building options and plenty for your Sims to do. It's packed with content for you to dive into.

4. Brindleton Bay

Cats and Dogs Pack

This coastal town of 16 lots has plenty of great views to offer. Everything is spread out enough that it looks like a much more open world than the others. It has a pleasant and peaceful feeling, especially thanks to the rain that comes often.

There could probably be more lots available, but this limited availability is worth paying for what it brings to the table.

3. Sulani

Island Life Pack

Ranking the worlds in The Sims 4 from worst to bestRanking the worlds in The Sims 4 from worst to best

This island is breathtaking and presents its own culture, events and way of doing things. It is arguably the most beautiful place in the game, especially for those of us who love the beaches. If you look at the whole world you will get great rewards as everything blooms and turns into something special.

The bundles that come with it are quite small and if you don't want to build over water it can feel rather overwhelming.

2. Windenburg

Pack Get Together

Ranking the worlds in The Sims 4 from worst to bestRanking the worlds in The Sims 4 from worst to best

Coming with a huge amount of lots (27), Windenburg is a massive coastal town to explore. It comes with country and town locations, and plenty of choice in the community lots. This includes two bars, two cafes, a swimming pool, a gym, a nightclub and a park, all to explore and enjoy.

Be sure to check out the Haunted Realm, Ancient Ruins, and Cliffs, where events will take place in this world.

1. Evergreen Harbour

Pack Eco Lifestyle

Ranking the worlds in The Sims 4 from worst to bestRanking the worlds in The Sims 4 from worst to best

This world is our favorite thanks to its multitude of features. It has beautiful views and allows you to change the whole world if you want to. There are three quarters and you can upgrade them individually if you want.

This is the most versatile world we have seen in the game and not only offers great gameplay but also stunning graphics in all variations.

Some worlds in The Sims 4 offer you more than others, and some all depend on the type of experience you expect from the game. One thing is for sure, however, and that is that The Sims 4 has a lot to offer. immerse yourself.

The Sims 4 is out now on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Mac.
