How to become a Moonshiner in Red Dead Online
Before you can start anything moonlight related, you must first have worked as a trader. You must either be at least a Rank 5 Trader or have completed a Trader Sell Mission. The latter seems like it will take a lot less time than the former, so if you haven't done anything trader yet, just shell out over 15 gold bars for a butcher's table in your camp and start shopping. bring equipment to Cripps. You might be able to complete a Merchant Sell Mission before you know it.
Once you meet the requirements, talk to Cripps. He will direct you to a bootlegger named Maggie Fike, who you can find at Emerald Ranch. When you find Maggie, you will need to choose one of the five locations in your Moonshining Hut where you will conduct your business. There is no better location for your Moonshining Hut. It all depends on your personal preferences and which areas of the map you tend to hang out. Below are the five locations for the Moonshining Huts.

- Grizzlies
- Hennigan’s Stead
- Heartlands
- Big trees
The initial setup will set you back 25 gold bars, but you can change locations anytime in the future for a cheaper (but still quite heavy) fee of $ 250 on the free roaming menu. Your Operation Moonshine will take place out of the basement while Maggie tends to farm above to maintain cover.
Once you and Maggie get into business together, you can take on a whole new set of missions, either alone or with a detachment to help her get revenge on those who have wronged her. As your business grows and you level up the Moonshiner role, you'll be able to unlock unique gear, customize your underground bar, and attract new customers with live music and a dance floor.
