If you've spent real-time time in Red Dead online, then you'll know that the only way to make money is by hunting, fishing, and foraging for plants. It's fun to participate in all the other activities on offer, but outside of story missions, the only way to earn enough moolah to buy that expensive horse you just got is to spend hours on the beaten track, killing and robbing everything you find.
If this sounds like the way you play the game, then you are in luck because the role of trader is perfect for you. In fact, on a personal note, I had sworn at first that this was the path I was going to take until my inner Clint Eastwood got the better of me and I became a Bounty Hunter.
It's pretty easy to get started, too. If you are a PS4 owner, you will be entitled to the Butchers' Table for free. So when you read Cripps' letter claiming that he always wanted to own his own trading post, you don't have to shell out the required 15 gold to buy it, unless you own an Xbox One.
When you have what you need, you can head out into the wilderness and start importing carcasses and plants as you wish. In doing so, you will rise through the ranks and unlock these rewards along the way.
