Red Dead Redemption 2 - Where to find Ram's Head

Red Dead Redemption 2 - Where to find Ram's Head

Red Dead Redemption 2 assigns daily missions to its players. These can range from the death of a certain animal or the number of players to the quest for quests. One of these searches is to find and collect a specified amount of Ram's Head.

Ram's Head is a type of mushroom that grows on the map. It usually appears in batches of three to four. The game guide mentions that it can be found growing at the base of tree trunks in West Elizabeth and Ambarino. While this gives the player an idea of where to find them, finding an herb in this game requires a careful, overhead look at the location.

ONE video shows several locations. We have compiled a series of handy maps to help you pinpoint these locations.

All Ram's Head locations

It is probably not a full map, but a very complete map. There are still unknown places where these subtle little mushrooms can be hidden. While the game and RankedBoost can tell that Ram's Head is in West Elizabeth and Ambarino, it isn't limited to just these two locations. It can be found over almost the entire northern half of the map; West Elizabeth, Strawberry, Cumberland Forest and North Annesburg.

West Elizabeth - Strawberry

West Elizabeth is huge. We had to make different maps to make sure all the locations were visible. The first place is the strawberry. You are probably very familiar with this area after the main storyline.

There are three Ram's Head locations around Strawberry. The closest is just north of town and in the mountains a bit. If that doesn't work, others can be found further south of the road.

West Elizabeth - North

There are two just northwest of Wallace Station in West Elizabeth. Follow the road by the river until it splits to the north. Take this short path and you will find yourself in a forest. You will need to use your character's Eagle Eye ability to isolate the mushrooms in the brush.

West Elizabeth – Diablo Ridge

Diablo Ridge can find two other small clusters. The first is very close to where the writing appears on the card. The other is further south-east. Once you find these two, head east. You will see a deer marked on your map here. It is very close to this marking.

Ambarino - Forêt de Cumberland

Despite the game's insistence that it can be found in Ambarino, there is only a small group in the Cumberland Forest. Three different plots grow near the roads in the forest. Again, you may need to use your Eagle Eye ability to find them.

Annesburg

There are five other lots from Ram's Head to Annesburg, most of which are located north of Brandywine Drop. The first two are far north, near the edge of the map. Follow the river north, past the railroad, to find them.

A third group of Ram's Head can be found near the heart of Brandywine Drop, just north of the location and slightly east of the river.

The other two are further south, near the Roanoke Valley. There is another animal indicator on your map here, for a cougar. It's near that marker.

The final location is further down the road. Follow the path on a path and after a second bend in the road, head north into the desert to find the last bit of Ram's Head.

Ram's Head is scattered all over the map in Red Dead Redemption 2. It is often clustered near other parts of it. Once you get used to the favorable environment, you will find other spots that we may not have found yet.
