Once you've completed the main story of Destiny 2: Forsaken, you'll receive two more quests. One will lead to the Ace of Spades and the other, the Broken Awakened Talisman , will give access to the City of Dreams. Let's see where to find the missing talisman fragments that the spider needs to mend the broken awakened talisman.
Defeat Riven's Voice
As a member of the Destiny 2: Forsaken campaign, you will defeat the Voice of Riven, and ultimately complete the base story. It is now that Petra Venj will give you the "Broken Awakened Talisman", which explains that with the help of the spider, the talisman can be repaired. Once repaired, it will unlock the Dreaming City.
Repair the awakened talisman
To repair the Awakened Talisman, the Spider asks you to collect several remaining Talisman Fragments which can be found in the Lost Sectors of the Tangled Shore. We have details on each of the Talisman Fragments below.
Talisman fragments in an old privateer hiding place
The first Talisman Shard can be found inside the Loot Chest in the Lost Sector of the AWO-43 Shipyard in the Jetsam of Saturn region on the Tangled Shore.
Fragments of talisman in the heart of the spider's web
The second Talisman Shard is located inside the Loot Chest in the Empty Tank Lost Sector in Thieves's Landing. This is the lost sector of Paul McCartney dance and it's quite a fun place. After defeating the boss, head to the right of his throne and you will come to the room with the treasure chest. Note that in my experience, you don't always see that you received a Talisman Shard when you open the chest. If in doubt, check the quest progress in your Pursuits screen.
Talisman fragments in a rare green location
The third and final Talisman Shard can be found in the beautiful green sector of the Trapper's Cave in the Four Horned Ravine.
Key to the dream city
Once you return to the spider, it will repair the talisman, and it will turn into a Awakened Talisman Repaired who must now be "steeped in darkness" before they can open the door to the City of Dreams. This requires you to kill around 300 Taken, a task best performed in the Lost Sector of the Sanctum of Bones on Io near Asher. Alternatively, you can take on the Lake of Shadows strike on Earth, which was previously only available to PlayStation 4 owners but is now available to all Guardians. When completed, the repaired Awakened Talisman will transform into Unbalanced Awakened Talisman.
Semi-Charged Awakened Talisman
The next step requires you to simply complete an Aether Ritual public event in the Four-Horn Gulch area of the Tangled Shore. It doesn't have to be heroic, but if you want to know how, this guide will tell you.
A buzz of starlight
After the public event, the spider will give you a Balanced Awakened Talisman and tell you that you now have permission to enter the dream city. You will need to meet Petra Venj at the watchtower to start the mission "A Buzz of Starlight".
Awakening
Finally, after a short time in the mission "A Buzz of Starlight", you will immediately be moved to the "Awakening" quest step, and upon completion, you will have access to the City of Dreams.
