How to heal
There are few different healing methods in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order - they really depend on your current situation in the game. The first of these we'll cover is for situations where you're on the go and you're in the game. fight or right after you get out of combat and need to heal. For this you will need to use your Stim Canisters, which we covered in more detail in another guide.
Stim Canisters are portable vaccines that you can inject to heal yourself. To use a Stim Canister all you have to do is press down on the d-pad and the BD-1 will give you one to heal yourself. However, it leaves you vulnerable to attacks when you do so, so be careful when trying to use it.
The next method of healing is outside of combat and consists of meditation points throughout the game. Accessing a meditation point won't immediately heal you, but here's a rest option that will not only heal you, but also allow you to regain your Strength and use stimulating canisters. This does come at the cost of repeating enemies though, so be careful not to go back to heal as you'll have to pass through groups of enemies again. Dying technically will do the same thing but it will lose any progress you've had, so it's definitely not a good idea.
Finally, there is another way to heal, but this is a circumstantial situation. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has a system similar to Dark Souls in which you lose any XP gained from the last checkpoint if you die, forcing you to hunt down the enemy and attack them. This not only allows you to get your XP back, but also get your health and strength back at the same time. While it seems rather unnecessary for healing at the start of a fight, you can use it to your advantage in group fights. Make a point to take out other enemies first and then when your health is low attack the one that glowed with gold that took you away before quickly healing yourself to end the fight. This one won't be used as often as the other two, but it's always good to remember.
