The new Super Smash Bros Nintendo 3DS system hides 12 characters and 7 Secret Scenarios to unlock by completing certain requirements. Below is a guide to how to unlock them all!
IMPORTANT: When you complete the described requirement, finish the mode or reach the number of matches, you will unlock an additional match in which you face the character to unlock. You will need to delete it to add it to your rooster. If you don't succeed, don't worry, you'll just have to complete any fight in Melee mode to face him again!
PLEASE NOTE: During our drive we had some problems unlocking characters. Ganondorf and Mr. Game & Watch in one save were unlocked by completing the classic mode with the designated character, in another not, but only by completing the required number of matches. Don't worry though, you can rely on the matches for any problem, it takes 120 to unlock all the characters!
UNLOCKABLE CHARACTERS
Ness: Complete 10 Smash Matches Versus PC/Other Player Mixes (also good online), or finish "Classic" Mode.
Falco: Complete 20 Smash matches Versus PC/Other Player Mixes (also good online), or finish "Classic" Mode 2 times.
Wario: Complete 30 smash matches Versus PC/Other Player Scrums (also online), or finish "Scrum versus 100" mode.
Lucina: Complete 40 smash matches Versus PC/Other Player Mixes (also good online), or finish "Classic" Mode with all 3 Fire Emblem characters: Marth, Ike and Daraen.
Dark Pit: Complete 50 smash matches Versus PC/Other Player Scrums (also good online), or finish "Classic" Mode 3 times.
Dr. Mario: Complete 60 smash matches Versus PC/Other Player Mixes (also good online), or finish "Classic" Mode with Mario.
R.O.B: Complete 70 smash matches Versus PC/Other Player Mixes (also good online), or finish "Classic" Mode with Mr. Game & Watch.
Ganondorf: Complete 80 smash matches Versus PC/Other Player Mixes (also good online), or finish "Classic" Mode with a Zelda character.
Mr. Game & Watch: Complete 90 smash matches Versus PC/Other Player Mixes (also good online), or finish "Classic" Mode 10 times, or complete it once with Duo Duck Hunt.
Bowser Junior: Complete 100 smash matches Versus PC/Other Player Scrums (also good online), or finish "Classic" Mode with Bowser at difficulty level 7.0 or higher.
Duo Duck Hunt: Complete 110 smash matches Versus PC/Other Player Scrums (online is fine too), or finish "Classic" mode 8 times.
Jigglypuff: Complete 120 smash matches Versus PC/Other Player Mixes (also good online), or finish "Classic" Mode 13 times, or complete it once with Shulk.
UNLOCKABLE SCENARIOS
Magicant: Unlock Ness.
WarioWare, Inc: Unlock Wario.
The Two-Dimensional Zone 2: Unlock Mr. Game & Watch.
Dream Land: Use Kirby's Final Smash. It's also good in Training mode, where the opponent is stationary and you can make the Smash Ball appear at any time.
Pac-Maze: Use Pacman's Final Smash. It's also good in Training mode, where the opponent is stationary and you can make the Smash Ball appear at any time.
Balloon Fight: You win three Melee as Inhabitant.
Mute City: You win three smash matches like Captain Falcon.
