Do you love to sing in the shower? Despite the complaints of the neighbors? Then you should read this ours BassPal F021 review, a waterproof Bluetooth speaker that is convenient to always carry with you. While it doesn't offer perfect audio, the aggressive price and versatility make it an interesting option to consider.

BassPal F021 review: an original look

Opening the BassPal F021 package you will find a carabiner to hang it from the backpack. Already from this information you could get an idea of the style that this Bluetooth speaker wants to adopt: young and versatile. A product that stands out, especially once switched on: the LED lights vary color as music plays. The lights give originality to the look when you move, and in the shower they are reminiscent of the emotional showers found in many spas (with a little imagination on your part).

La soft plastic covering the entirety of the speaker can please someone and perplex someone else. But it shows particularly resistant given the use you will make of the speaker: it resists shocks well if you hang it on your backpack or bag, it cleans and dries easily if you use it in the shower or in the pool.

Excellent connection, simple controls and great autonomy

Connecting the speaker to your smartphone with Bluetooth takes just a few seconds: turn on the speaker with the appropriate button and look for the device. The connection is fast and stable, even when we move away, the sound quality remains unchanged and no disturbances are heard until you go a long way away.

From the cashier you can control playback with the buttons on the “crown” of the speaker. The volume keys also work to skip the track or go back with a long press. The same goes for the pause button, which stops playback when pressed for a couple of seconds. The "M" button is used to switch to FM radio, which has good reception.

But we found ourselves in little use of commands, by activating a playlist or a podcast on your smartphone and then listening to it without too many interactions. Having the ability to easily control playback is certainly an advantage.

Finally, we must admit that we had to work hard to download the device. The autonomy varies by use, but you will have to recharge it rarely if you use it often and very little if you use it in the shower (unless your toilet routine lasts several hours). Charging with cable USB-C takes about an hour to fully charge.

A versatile product

The soft plastic tongue and carabiner allow you to carry the BassPal F021 wherever you want. The incredible lightness (only 204 grams) allows great mobility. But it also allows you to float it in the tub or pool. It is certified IPX7, so it resists dust and water splashes. Best not to submerge it for safety, but it should resist much more than a few drops.

The suction cup for hanging it in the shower (or on any smooth surface) is really strong. You never risk dropping the speaker even hitting it and there was no amount of steam and water capable of losing grip. By lifting it with your fingers, however, you can remove it with great ease. Well thought out and durable, this Bluetooth speaker turns out perfect for shower or bath. And also to be used on the go (when you don't disturb!).

BassPal F021 Review: Sound Quality

We tested the BassPal F021 speaker with Audiocheck for this review, as we always do for speakers and headphones. In bass reproduction, despite the name, the BassPal F021 did not show great performance. We believe it is due to the very lightness of the case: increasing the volume and depth of the bass we immediately noticed a vibration which becomes noisy as the test continues. Better with the highs, even if they are not particularly detailed. On the other hand, the spatiality is excellent: handles stereo channels well. Although those with a small shower will hardly enjoy this feature as they sing under the water.

In the musical rehearsal we noticed a sound not particularly rich, especially in the more complex tracks (such as those of Frank Ocean and the musical In The Heights). On the other hand, it holds up well tracks with less detail: the performances in rock (from the Beatles to System of a down) and in hip hop (Biggie, Kendrick) are more than enough, if you don't mind the trembling when the deepest bass comes.

Audiophiles should choose another product. In particular, a more expensive and less light one: the drivers in the device are on the level that there is look forward to this price range. And opting for a speaker that hangs on the wall with a suction cup means giving up certain acoustic qualities: it's a matter of physics.

BassPal F021 review: is it worth buying?

In this price range there are no speakers with deep bass and rich in details. BassPal F021 does his acoustic work for i 34,99 euros of the price. Plus it's super light, water resistant and has an effective suction cup to hang wherever you want. If you want a speaker to bring a jazz quartet into your living room, you have the wrong product. But if you need something to sing in the shower and listen to music when you are in the pool or by the sea, then it is highly recommended.
